(Also, I've been procrastinating watching the Cuatro footage from Dortmund for the first time and good lord, I was not aware that Xabi had so thoroughly lost his shit. Oh, he was pissed at the second goal. At the third goal, he kicked the ball into the stands and started screaming at people and like, agressively pulling up his socks. And when he conceded the penalty he was actually tearing out his own hair in rage. We broke Xabi, you guys. Like 8 min into this video.)
Phew, that was really hard to watch. Poor guy, so full of impotent rage. I hope he gets his mojo back because as much as I love him, he was really off last week, and even against Atleti.
But did anyone see his hometown team against Valencia this weekend? Holy crap they are playing some super sexy football this weekend. Their second goal reminded me of THAT goal against Ajax last season, it was so gorgeous. Totally gone off tangent, but I needed to express my feels.
"agressively pulling up his socks" - when I first read this, I laughed. THEN I saw the footage. Damn. Who knew that pulling up one's socks could be such a hostile act? Anyone on that pitch who witnessed him pulling up his socks there would have been fucking terrified...
