Varane is apparently very highly rated by Zidane. I think he'd be a good addition, especially with Real looking to sell Garay. Still hoping we won't buy Neymar...especially for 45million. That's just outrageous!

ffs, don't even write this name here! ugh I will become a culé if we buy Neymar.

Ok, I wouldn't go this far, but yeah, I will be highly disgusted if we buy him.

I don't mind Neymar per se; I think he is a talented kid but with an ego. Though 45million for a 19 year old is outrageous and sends a very bad message to La Fabrica - which is ironic, considering Mourinho is set to assume the role of director of La Fabrica. I'd be okay if we pay around the range of 15-20m. The only reason Santos are valuing him at 45m is because they don't want to let him go.

the thing is, he's talented enough, but he's not as good as the media pictures him to be. They describe him as the new Pelé, future Messi and yada yada, but a big part of his good plays happened against weak teams in a shity championship (Paulistão). Plus, he has this indescribable love for diving. I think he still has lots more to work on before he gets to a club like Real Madrid, he needs experience against big clubs. And Real Madrid first team is not the place to give a new kid some international experience!
As you said, it would send a bad message to our cantera. If we are willing to pay a lot of money to give the kid some experience, why don't we just take a kid from the cantera? I honestly think we have kids as talented (if not better) than Neymar at our own cantera, and we don't need to spend 45million on them.

True. He had a pretty quiet game against Peñarol last week. It'd be interesting to see how he does tomorrow. But I think he does have the potential to be good - we should not forget he is only 19!

Though at the end of the day, yes I'd pick Morata or further down the line even Jese Rodriguez to come through the ranks. Cantera is producing a lot of quality players and the sad thing is that most of them will probably leave Madrid to establish themselves before we buy them back, like Callejon. As Negredo said, Canteranos are automatically handicapped at Real. This, I feel, is exceptionally tragic.

Yeah, he's only 19, that's why I said he needs experience - and Real Madrid is not the place to get ~experience.
But he reminds me a lot of Robinho (which they also said he'd be the next Pelé - god, why everyone has to be the ~next Someone~?). I don't like Robinho :/

I like what you said in reply to brigadoon:
Ideally I'd have loved it if we got a third striker on loan, sent out Morata to Zaragoza on loan, Sarabia to either Benfica or Villarreal. Then next season, sell Kaka, and bring these two back.

this is what I would like as well :(

Hahahaha everyone who is talented these days is compared to someone else. Most annoying being the Christian Eriksen and Michael Laudrup comparison. Eriksen is a hugely talented footballer, that much I'd totally agree, but Laudrup, even at Eriksen's age, was on an entirely different level. No one, except Zidane, can draw a comparison to Laudrup - even then, based on technical ability itself, Laudrup was slightly better whereas Zizou was a much more complete player.

I don't think the management would ever see that way. They have an incomprehensible desire to ~spend spend spend. Bloody shopaholics. :(

What I find really out of this world is saying someone is the next Messi. Do they know Messi is still, you know, active? LOL how can someone be the ~new one~ if the "old" one is still young, healthy and playing? I die inside everytime someone says/writes this!

Shopaholic is the perfect description for our president!

Yep. Based on how much he has achieved, most people forget that he's only 24 and has a good 10 years ahead of him barring any serious injuries. It's so silly to see these comparisons already being made - especially when I'm sure Messi will break and set a lot more records than he already has.

Speaking of tagging, Juvenil A's Jese Rodriguez, also massively talented, is already being labeled as La Fabrica's very own Cristiano Ronaldo. I find this comparison amusing!

I think that the chances are good to see some new players of other teams in the next season. Players like Jese Rodriguez, Oscar Plano and maybe a new defender. Maybe this player

Hmm I think the Castilla gets a few more Midfielders too. Some of the Midfielders left the team too

Man, I hope Toril brings up Jese to Castilla. He has been awesome! He played some of the Castila games as a sub and I have a lot of faith in him. Noblejas is fantastic too but I don't think he's old enough - he'll probably go to Juvenil A while Oscar Plano will most likely to come up.

I think Castilla will lose more players if Real Madrid do send Morata, Sarabia, Juan Fran & Juan Carlos out on loan.

Brazilian media is spoiling him too much. I don't think he's overrated, I just think his talent is not an excuse for his behavior on the pitch. He's very immature and he needs to learn a lot.

And If he scores today and Santos win the Libertadores I swear I will turn off my TV for a month.

And Rogério <3

I loved that he got a yellow card for diving last week :x
He needs to learn so much, and yet he goes out there making babies! I'm sick with the media saying everything he does is beautiful and wonderful.

I'll have to turn off my TV until someone São Paulo wins the next Libertadores, tbh
the brazilian media will be talking about it until the end of the days!

<33333
did you watch sunday's match? I had legit tears in my eyes because of him.

I couldn't watch it, but I saw the highlights! He's a true legend.

São Paulo is my favourite team of the Série A! I hope you win the Brasileirão :D

Yeah, I'm hoping these Kun/Neymar/Kun AND Neymar rumors go away fast. DNW either of them. But I don't think we're keeping Adebayor and we're going to get someone.

I think if we lose both of them, especially Sarabia, it'd be a huge tragedy because he will definitely become one of the best players in the world one day.
