Real Madrid players make a young boy's dream come true

Marcel Piñeiro’s life has changed drastically over the course of one year. After being diagnosed with leukemia and severe anemia, the 12-year old Portuguese child was on the brink of death for three months. But he persevered and on Thursday was given the chance to meet his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Marcel impatiently waited with his parents and sister by his side. And when Cristiano Ronaldo appeared in the doorway, he was accompanied by several of his Real Madrid teammates. Cristiano presented Marcel with a shirt and signed it on the spot, while Iker Casillas handed him a ball signed by every member of the team.

"I am very nervous and very excited. I have always dreamed about meeting Cristiano Ronaldo and it has finally come true," said an emotional Marcel.

Once the players left, he called his idol "a great person. Cristiano Ronaldo is a Portuguese icon and my hero." Source.

I had cancer twice so I think it is truly wonderful that the boys took time out of their days to make this little boy's dream come true. :)

Eleven Madridistas signed autographs for fans

Prior to leaving their Toronto Hotel for training on Thursday, eleven Madridistas signed autographs for fans in the hotel foyer.

Four tables were set up by the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel so that fans could meet members of the Real Madrid family. Guti and Pepe sat at the first; Casillas, Metzelder and Torres at the second; Cristiano Ronaldo was joined by Higuain and Garay at the third; and Arbeloa, Negredo and Albiol at the final table.

Fans politely waited for their turn to snap photos and ask for autographs of those players only previously seen on television sets. Source.

Will be adding a few more pictures as soon as I get them uploaded.
