The flag is made of win! Is March 15th another worldwide thing or just a DC thing? There's gonna be such a higher turn out on a Saturday :D Better read up a bit more so I don't look like a sheep...

It's apparently another worldwide thing, but hey, even it if'ts just in DC it will garner attention. (Plus, it's right before St. Patrick's day, so there are bound to be tons of people wandering around Dupont Circle.)

I can ask if they want to join, I'd hate for them to miss out on all the fun. Sadly, I don't know that many of them know the much about the Internets ;_;

Honestly? That's good. This is a protest about a glorified cult slash business venture being given tax-exempt status and protection under the law. I was really against all of this at first because I was convinced everyone who showed up to the protests would act like total jackasses, but everything was amazingly subdued. That's why I want to take part in the next go-round, because I truly believe in this, not just "for the lulz."

Well, maybe in April...

The disguises needn't be "Anonymous"-related; people are wearing masks/covering their faces to prevent their pictures from being taken. Seriously. There were church members snapping pictures of protesters out of windows, etc. One ex-Scientologist posted on the SomethingAwful forms saying that they try to get pictures of your teeth in order to see who shows up at multiple protests so that they can track them down and harrass them.

As for the signs, well, it's a protest, most of them are serious, but "THETANS OR GTFO" was just too good not to make into an icon.
