1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me!"
2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will post the answers to the questions (and the questions themselves) on your blog or journal.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions. And thus the endless cycle of the meme goes on and on and on and on...
The one from Leah.
1. What's your favorite flower?
I don't really have one. No really; I don't! :P
2. Where do you go when you want to cheer up?
Either to my room to be alone, or look for someone to talk to if they might be available.
As cliche as it is, I find surrounding myself with something I like to be comforting. Favourite music, whatever book tickles my fancy, and so on.
3. Why do you (read emphasis: not because of your parents) believe in the Islamic faith?
Here we go: it makes sense to me, based on my own personal understanding of Islam and God. I don't agree with my elders' interpretations of a number of things, and the more I look into Islam, the more I find that it is possible to practise religion without blindly taking on my parents' own values. The more I look into Islam, the more I find it to be a practical religion, and things that my parents had never explained to me are explained.
I've also made small, personal prayers outside of salat (the prayer which includes prostration), and seen them fulfilled for myself, which gives me peace of mind.
And...that's about all I can think of right now, to answer that question. I hope that I didn't sound vague or anything. :3
4. What is the thing you like the most about yourself?
The most? Well, I guess it's my creativity and intelligence to an extent. And to a degree my sense of humour, which I'd love to expand and use more of in future.
5. What accomplishment are you proudest of?
Hmmm...so far, probably the amount of weight I've lost since November 2007. I've been wearing jeans as part of my everyday style now, and have bought some new clothes for myself because of it. :D I still need to buy more!
I'm not fully satisfied, though. There are so many other things I want to get accomplished, and hopefully soon.
