Guys, I've been watching a TON of stuff. It's like all I do now. All of the anime, jdramas (although not as many as I would like), movies and TV shows. So much that I have no idea how I fit any of it into my schedule. AND I've been playing a lot of video games, whaat. But I guess it only seems like a lot due to how rare my posts are. |D; SO HERE WE GO.
Kimi no Na Wa (Your Name)
Everyone and their grandmother's labrador has seen this movie. And with good reason. I watched it streaming first, which I know I know was a terrible idea, and I thought it was a damn good movie. BUT THEN I SAW IT AGAIN IN THE THEATER. It was a whole 'nother experience. The music got to me. The iphone scene was again SO REAL HOW? The music got to me. I knew what was going to happen and yet my eyes got dry and had to lubricate themselves. I didn't even tear up the first time I watched it so these tears were so unexpected. Watching it in the theater was so very worth it.
Bungou Stray Dogs
I really enjoyed the first two seasons of this. Each character is based off a literary figure and their 'moves' are names of their work. And embarrassingly enough, it took me way too long to figure that out since I wasn't as familiar with japanese authors. It was a no-brainer once the foreigners joined in the cast, lol. The art and action is fantastic. Also, Dazai is A+. I'm there once the third season is out.
A Life
Probably KimuTaku's most emotionless character. A lot of medical dramas are ridiculous, and most of the time that's why I love them. This one was just something else. I didn't understand why he was helping this hospital in Japan when there was nothing there for him. Asano Tadanobu's character was unbelievable. Why they wasted him on that character, I will never know. Although it was refreshing to see Matsuyama Kenichi in a drama. I'm also unsure why halfway, the opening decided to change the title from A Life to A LiVe. I mean, I'm complaining but I still quite enjoyed it and finished it, lol.
Fragile
Speaking of medical dramas. NAGASE. FREAKING. TOMOYA. So many slides. I THINK WE'RE GONNA NEED JUST ONE MORE ENDOSCOPY, they say for the third time.
Legion
Without spoiling anything, the entire show is quite weird, but that's to be expected with a schizophrenic mutant. Sudden obese demon sightings we dubbed The Fat Man. Also, David speaking to himself in two different accents is genius.
There's plenty more that I'll just continue in another post. :D
