Poll-tastic
Thinking about the events of this past GNEW has got me thinking. I've always told those close to me that I don't like to be surprised with things - I have *awful* stage fright and the shock just negates any joy of the award. (When I got my AoA, I was shaky for three days afterwards.) It's stupid, but it's a quirk of mine.
I was given some advance warning about the Maunche for that reason, but I kept that fairly quiet to let my friends think they'd "gotten" me, which seemed to work out well for all around. (And I'll admit, it was hilarious occasionally seeing someone who wasn't sure if I knew or not try to dance around the subject and still get whatever information they were seeking!)
