OK, this is what I mean when I talk about Big Wheeling. This is the sway. Dan says that I gain speed with every lap, which is why I asked Terry if he could keep up while videoing. This used to be the most difficult thing I could do, and I had male skating partners in my adolescence who would shadow me because I was the fastest female who could do it. It's still a lot of fun, and they only play a few songs each night that have the right beat for it. It wears me out, it really does. At some point, I get going so fast I can't keep my feet to the beat, and it's at that point that I drop out of speediness and catch my breath. It kills the thighs. To do it right requires most of your weight on the front foot while dragging the back one. In my MN rink it is my signature move, as no one else does it. But they do it in San Diego and Chicago. I "pump" it.
