A nudge in the right direction.
I got a little message from the most lovely ange_tarantism which asked me to make a post. Well, it's nice to be wanted so I am indeed posting.
Let's see. My last post was a comprehensive update on my life in the form of a cushion photo. So I guess I don't need to write about anything before that.
Since my last cushion I went down to the coast (Huskisson) over Christmas with my family. It was pretty awesome but the weather was unseasonably cold. It's rare that my whole family can be together so I valued the time immensely.
In home improvement news, I have almost finalised the plans for the kitchen and will be pricing the design shortly. I have been making pelmets and curtains for the lounge room. Yesterday while trying to drill the brackets for the pelmets into the wall I encountered an unsound bit of rendering which has resulted in a hole the size of my fist in the wall. So I will be off to Bunnings to find some sort of wall filler. Also I have painted the bottom windows in my lounge room with a matte medium and varnish which has resulted in a translucent effect. Now I am happy to leave the blinds open as people can't see in very well any more.
I'm starting my new job at RPAH next week. I hope they like me and I like them. I'm a little sad to leave St George. They have been good to me. However I think this is a better move for me. And change is as good as a holiday. I'm looking forward to the part-time.
