seems o.k.

Katherine and I have spent most of the day together. It has been very delightful. Considering her work schedual, we don't always get all of the time together that we would like. That is often very hard for us both. In addition to being husband and wife we are also best friends; we were prior to marriage, and we continue to be now. When I only get to see my friend and sweetheart for two sleepy eyed hours before she goes to work, I begin to miss her terribly. She has now had a stretch of three days off that have been a blessing. Today we went to a wedding reception of some friends of ours that actually got married about 8 months ago. They were unable to have a wedding with more than immediate family before. By immediate family, I mean her parents, his parents, the officiator, and two witnesses. They decided to wait for the nice weather, and a time of the year when more of their friends and family would be able to come. It was very sweet. After that Katherine and I test drove a Toyota Matrix. Her current car is an '89 Honda Civic, and is not equipped with locking seatbelts in the back rendering it not very useful for a carseat, so a new car is necessary. On the way home from doing that, I got a call from my Friends, Brenden and Joline, that they had been to a nearby garage sale with tons of baby items. Katherine and I located said garage sale, and returned home with one of those on the floor baby bouncy things,(I don't know what they are really called), one of those baby carry things that baby faces you in, (I don't know what those are called either), and a child sized table and chairs for the baby's room. All of these things are now sitting on our living room floor, and looking at them makes it seem more real that there will be a little person with us soon, and that seems very O.K. with me. I am so excited to be a daddy!
