I had my first sub gig today at Louellin Elementary. It went well for the most part, but at the end of the day, I was supposed to show them a film that their regular teacher had left for them. It was about the African savanna. Before I put it in to play, I noticed that it wasn't rewound all of the way, and the notes didn't say anything about it being cued up. Well as it turns out, it was, because 30 third grade students got quite a surprise when one mating scene after another with all different types of animals started. I tried to forward through them, but every time I thought I was passed one would start again. When I left for the day. i had to give office a heads-up that if an angry parent should call, that was why.
