Global warming and God
Okay so all this global warming (although it seems to be global cooling instead) has Manuel thinking something terribly bad is going to happen. What if the end of the world is coming and we are all doomed? Wouldn't bother me; I'd go down singing "it's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine." I do. If the world were to end tomorrow, I'd be okay with it. Well sorta, I'd really miss Johnjohn.. a lot. Oh my word, I'd miss him more than some of my best friends. BAHA! I love mi gato.
I hate when you feel you have to be friends with some people, like it's completely necessary because if you weren't, something would be terribly wrong with you, as if you were antisocial or something. I also hate when people get ditched for God. What if he doesn't exist and is just something we humans created to help cope with one final and complete death that ends all. I remember in 8th grade, Jessica said she'd rather not believe, so that when death comes and there is no afterlife, she wouldn't have wasted her time worshipping a god that didn't exist in the first place. I opposed her thoughts on that matter; mine were - believe, then when there is one, you're safe. Actually now that I think about it, both of our positions were wrong. What she got out of it was time, what I got was a life not in Hell (preferably). I never believed to be close with Him or to praise Him or worship Him. I just believed to be able to say "I believe" and hope that I wouldn't go to Hell. I don't remember ever worshipping Him. Never had any motivation to. Yeah, I'd pray, but never truely praised Him. No passion whatsoever. Oh well. At this point in my life, apathy has reached an all time high in the topic of religion. I just don't care; I'm more focused on my education, relationships with my friends and family, and my plans for the future. I don't feel the need to go seeking God. Maybe sometime in my lateryears, I'll want to have a relationship with Him, but right now, it doesn't interest me.
What can you say? Am I doomed like the earth is to global warming?
