Warm and Fuzzy Feelings

We're probably going to buy a house sometime soon. When I say we, I mean my dashing young husband and I. We looked at some homes in Boise, but we might end up living in Star. That's not so bad, though, because Star is better than Caldwell or Nampa for us. It's really close to Ben's work since their 'headquarters' relocated to just outside of Boise. It will also be not as bad as Canyon County for me going to BSU since traffic going from Star to Boise in the mornings won't be nearly as bad as from Nampa/Caldwell to Boise. Star is more expensive than Canyon County, but a little bit cheaper than Boise. We have two appointments in Star today to look at houses there. Yay! It's fun to look at houses. Also, we have been going to Star Friends church ever since we got married (the minister who did our wedding is the pastor there). We like it and the people are really nice. And it's a cute little town with mostly middle to upper class so it wouldn't be too bad of a place to live like some other real littly towns might be. Another option would be to live in Eagle, which would be even closer to Ben's work/BSU. We looked a little in Eagle and it's pretty expensive there. Last week we were preapproved for a Hubble Homes house for up to $130,000 and we got a free credit report. The guy said we had excellent credit and enough credit to be a homeowner. We are looking for something a little bit more inexpensive than 130,000, though. We want to have money for other things. Ben's dad said he'd help us out on a down payment (we'd have to pay him back, of course), if we wanted to move into a home right away. It would be great to own a house and not have to bother with snoopy landlords or annoyingly close neighbors.

Changing the subject....I have a funny story. I think it's funny, anyway. If you were me you would think it's funny too. This happened a couple weeks before I got married.
Ben and I needed to go to the mall (BTS), to pick up my sister's bridesmaid dress, and we had my niece Cassidi with us because earlier in the day I had to take her to get her flower girl dressed sized. Anyway, we went right after Ben got off work and he was filthy dirty and looked basically like white trash. (He usually goes home and bathes right after work, but today was an exception.) Cassidi said her feet hurt so I held her as we walked around the mall. Then I saw someone I recognized...it was my 7th grade math teacher. I walked right past her, acting like I didn't recognize or notice her. (I really disliked this teacher and I failed her class...7th grade wasn't a good year for me.) I think I accidentally was caught looking at her for a second, and I noticed she was staring at me and she looked back at me like four times and seemed rather surprised...my best assumption is that she thought Cassidi was me and Ben's daughter and that I was a lil teenage slut!
It would seem that way, since she is my niece and looks a little like me and since she has the blonde hair and blue eyes like Ben, who's hair and eye color resemble that of Cassidi's daddy. I thought it was so funny, since that time, Ben and I have had Cassidi with us once or twice and everyone always thinks we're her parents.
Oh, BTW, if Cassidi was my daughter it would mean I would've had her when I was 15! Funny, huh? I thought so anyway.
