Yesterday and Today

Yesterday was a pretty fun day. I had the day off, which is strange because it was a Monday and I can't remember the last time I had a Monday off. Anywho, I slept until about 10:30 or so, when Ben came back home from work for a bit to chill. I love it when he has nothing to do and he can come home and say hi. It's one of the few benefits of being on salary. :)

So I got on the internet for a bit and was lazy until about 1:00 when we went to the Federal building in order to pick up a copy of last year's tax returns (we needed it for the mortgage on our house). Right after the Federal building, Ben had to go back to work. I then went grocery shopping by myself! Not saying that's a big accomplishment, but I have never gone grocery shopping for both Ben and I by myself because we always just do it together. It was a lot quicker and easier with just me, though! Hehe :) And it made me feel...umm...important or something...(I know, I'm the biggest dork!)

After grocery shopping I got back on the internet for a bit and I did a little house cleaning. Ben came home from work at about 6:00, and in a few minutes we headed over to the Boise Hawks stadium and watched a baseball game. The game was pretty exciting, but these two annoying guys in front of us were spitting sunflower seed shells into their empty beer cups the whole time...eww!! I also noticed they bought three 12-oz beers a piece, which is crazy because they cost $3.50 for each one! That's 21 bucks in beer, folks. Boy, what a waste!

Anyway, we were getting cold and hungry (we could've eaten at the ballpark, but the food was really expensive and they didn't accept anything but cash and we never have cash), so we left at the bottom of the 5th inning. Oh well, the Hawks were winning by a lot when we left, so we assumed they won. Then we went through the drive-thru at Taco Bell and ate like pigs in our car. :) Then Ben wanted to buy new work shoes (haha...he's so girly), so we went to Payless and ended up buying two pairs each!! Woohoo!! I got the cutest sandals that make me taller. (Ah, yeah!) I'm 5'7'', and they make me a good 6'! I also got the most adorable black mary janes. I am so in love with them. :) :)

We left Payless when it closed, 10:00, then decided to head over to Barnes and Noble to look at books for a little bit. I thought they might be closed, but NO...they don't close until 11:00!! So we started looking around, having a good old time. After a few minutes, though, I got worried because I had to be at work at 7am this morning and I wanted to get enough sleep. So we ended up not staying long enough at B&N to buy anything, but we still had a good time. Then we went home to bed.

Then I worked ten hours today. We had a huge catering order, so they needed volunteers to come from 7am to 11am to work on the order. I was already scheduled from 11-5, and thought eh...might as well do it because the extra hours will be nice. When I got there my boss sent all us volunteers next door with cash to buy coffees or whatever. :) That was nice of him. I don't do coffee, but I had a very good rasberry Italian cream soda...mmm...my boss had also bought us doughnuts. I already had eaten cereal, but I had a doughnut, too. :( It was good, but I really shouldn't have. Oh, guilty pleasures....

At 5:00, got off work, internet, a little more house cleaning, then I made salad, spaghetti, and French bread for dinner. I made it with extra-meaty sauce since we have sooo much meat in our freezer. We had pudding for desert! Mmmm...chocolate pudding. :) :) That pretty much leads up until right now.....OH WAIT! I forgot to mention something...while at work today Maggie O'Mara (spelling?) from channel 7 news came into my work today. I just treated her like a normal customer as did my co-worker, neither of us mentioning that we knew her from the news. I always love her on the news because she seems so cool and down-to-earth. She was nice in real life, too. She actually spilled her drink all over the floor (accidentally, of course), and she was very apologetic and sweet about it. I kept thinking, "Maggie O'Mara from channel 7 came into my work and spilled her drink...how....odd..."

After she left I asked my co-worker if she recognized her and she said she did. I'm glad I didn't act stupid and say, "Hey, I know you...channel 7 news, right?" I probably would've made a fool out of myself if I had, plus, I know she probably gets sick of being recognized all the time.

Well, that's been my last two days. Awww...Ben is wrapped up in a blanket on the floor watching the Mariners right now...he's just a foot or two away from the TV...how cute! :)
