20 Years

Apparently I registered for a Live Journal account 20 years ago so that's pretty bizarre to think about. I'm just looking at my profile now and I thought it might be nice to mark where I'm at now compared to then:

  1. SEGADriven.com is still active and it's still my main hobby. Love running that website. I also run a companion YouTube channel which I really enjoy too and I'm trying to get them to compliment each other better.
  2. Pigeons of Death disbanded. Andrew moved to the States and I haven't spoken to Sean in years. We never had a falling out, but people change and grow and I guess we just grew apart. There was some interpersonal drama between them, but I wasn't involved. I have a new "band" now called Cranston (cranstonpunk.bandcamp.com) and I've done a few EPs and hope to do more.
  3. I don't do UK Scumscene anymore because I couldn't manage it with all the other hobbies I was doing. Also Catbird dying in 2017 kind of put a downer on the whole thing as I heavily associate it with him. Very thankful to have had the time with Catbird that I did and I even read a eulogy at his funeral. I intermittently do a music podcast with my mate Alan called Cast Iron (www.castironshow.co.uk) and it's always fun to do when we can find the time.
  4. Started going out with Jenny in November 2017 and called it official the next month. I love her very much and we've done so much cool shit together and I can't wait to go on more adventures with her. Extremely blessed to have her in my life.
  5. Mum and Dad are both retired now and seem to be really enjoying themselves. I'm dead happy for them and they've definitely earned it. They have a little dog called Albert and holiday with him a lot. My sister Katie lives near me with her friend Rory and she now keeps pet rats who are a great bunch of lads. Katie's partner Rhiannon is cool as fuck and they make each other really happy. Great to see.
  6. My family helped my buy my first home and I love it here. It's just a little one bedroom flat in an apartment block, but it's honestly the nicest place I've ever lived and I'm extremely thankful for their generosity because I wouldn't have this security without them. I am very lucky to be surrounded by so many loving people.

This post is kind of just for me to look back on, but to anyone reading this I just want to say I hope you're all keeping well. All my love - Lewis x
