pharmgirl68 gave us bacon chocolate for Christmas! It's bacon! It's chocolate! It's bacon chocolate!!!

I just felt the need to share this, as I know there will be a few people on my FL very interested in the concept of bacon flavoured chocolate.

As you were.

I've heard it rumored, but you're the first to confirm the existence of bacon-flavored chocolate. I think this bodes well. Finally, humanity might be on the right track.

The reviewer awards only eight of a possible ten hugs to the bacon chocolate. I don't see how it can be anything less then eleventy hundred out of ten.

Seriously, I think you should get some and try for yourself.

It's fantastic. This review covers it better than I would.

After living in America twice, I'm rarely surprised by anything... but THAT, now THAT has me intrigued.

Likewise, although the American palate often amazes me, it doesn't often surprise me anymore. I think having seen things like (but not limited to!) the recipe for Disneyland's Monte Cristo sandwich, beer cheese soup while travelling through Texas, and that Thanksgiving sweet potato thing with marshmallows and shit in (possibly the most hideous thing I have ever eaten) has inured me to a lot of surprise.

But this was surprising. And even more surprising - it's quite a sophisticated collection of flavours working together. Not the sort of thing you'd tuck into all the time, or scoff a whole bar of in one go, but very nice.

Did they survive the trip? I was worried they might not.

I think you can only get them at the Lindt Cafe. I've never seen them anywhere else. I saw them and instantly thought of you!

(I bought extras so we could sample for quality control. They are yummy!)

I didn't know they existed either.
I've been sucking up to the yanks for years for Peanut Butter and chocolate and I could have been going to a more direct source!
There's a Lindt Cafe? Fuuuucckkk!
Im thinking of taking a day trip to Sydney with the girls. That's definitely going on my 'to do' list.

In Sydney there are 3 Lindt Cafes. There's one at the bottom of George St just before The Rocks, one at Cockle Bay (Darling Harbour) and one in Martin Place. You must go to one if you come here - you'll love it! The hot chocolate you can order milk or dark, and it comes deconstructed - you get a pot of hot frothy milk and a pot of melted chocolate and you mix them together yourself as you like it. And the desserts are to die for.

Remember I went to one for a hot chocolate and the dollybird ordered a skinny cappucino? It still makes no sense to me.

It better be Canadian bacon-flavoured chocolate.

OR ELSE WHAT, HUH TOUGH GUY? HEH. YEAH!

All it says is that it is applewood smoked. But if it makes you happy, I will close my eyes and think of Canada when I eat it.
