i've just been the unfortunate particpant in a comically bad day. like a movie all that could go wrong has gone wrong. firstly, our kitten went into heat saturday night. since we got home last night she's spent the entire time yowling and stomping her feet, begging every piece of furniture in our apartment for some love. poor misguided kitten is very funny at first, but not so much at three in the morn. after a completely sleepless night, the dog wakes up at six am and pukes on the floor next to our bed. taking all this in a stride, we get ready for work. as jeff's warming up the truck he pops the hood intending to check the antifreeze level. then he goes in the house to wait for the truck to warm up. fifteen mintues later and a mile away from our house. the hood flies up because of a forty mph wind gust combined with an unlatched hood, thus cracking the windshield in each corner, denting in the hood in several places, and cracking the molding around the bottom of the windshield. my truck now needs a few hundred dollars of repair work. now i'm just waiting for a tree to fall on my house or some other credit card i paid off two years ago to come serve me with a summons to court.
