Do people buy into this?

So I was checking my non school email (which I do...usually once a month anymore) and I came across an infamous forwarded email. You know, I read these and then delete them in spite of the fact that they beg to be forwarded...be forworded or else bad luck will plague your life and your first born will be born with out a spleen!!

To this I say Horse Shit.

Now, granted that some of these emails do have inspirational messages. Ones that you find in Halmark cards and are in depth and are supposed to help improve the quality of your life. Some of these do have good stories and quotes, etc. They tell you to be happy, have no worries, and live each day as if it was your last. But some, in the same breath, speak of how if this email is ignored, you wont find true love, you will fail at life and die a horrible, bloody death.

Optimistic? How can I be happy when the Internet Gods want to off me somehow?

One of the latest ones I recieved had something to do with not sending the email off and other people who didn't and all this crazy bad shit happened to them. It's called life. It happens. And bad shit happens in it. It has nothing to do with ignored or deleted emails.

I love the ones that say "send this to X amount of people". It makes me feel bad for the introverts. They must worry hardcore over this. I would if I actually bought into this stuff. This is the same crap as chain letters thru the mail. So some kid starts a letter around the world and the letter says nothing of value except " your life will end soon if you dont send this". Hey kid, get a life.

Funny thing is that ANYONE could make up one of these. For example:
-->There was a girl who was lonely. Then she mades some friends because she started whoring herself. She got a bad rep and no one liked her. She cleaned herself up and started over and is now the most loved person in her town.
You must send this to 10 people or you will be disliked by the country folk.
P.S- the more you send this to people, the more your crush will like you.

W00T! There you go. Tell all your friends.

The Point is that this is crap and wasteful. Send someone an inspirational message weither they need it or not but say it in person. So much is lost to internet conversations, like facial expressions and voice tone. Anyone can do this :) or ;). But when done in person, its a million times better. I have some stuff i wrote about the internet and personal communication, but I will get to that when I'm not so tired.

P.S-I appologize to those who do send me forwards. I still read them, I just don't pass them on.
