so this is totally awesome

-That's ironic because I feel like my head's gonna fall off if my throat doesn't come crawling out my mouth first.

You're welcome for the lovely imagery, but you'll have to forgive me. Not feeling 100% today. Which is awesome because of the holiday coming up, and the certain day tomorrow. Who wants to be sick on their birthday? I mean, really? Come on, life, quit dealing me shitty cards. In response I might slightly overdose on the Nyquil (joking, partly) and go to bed ridiculously early where I'll spend at least an hour awake and wondering what interesting stuff is happening on the internets while I'm cocooned in blankets a foot away.

Blah blah blah, blah blah crap. Pretty much.

The only upside to this is that today is Doctor Who's birthday! That doesn't sound silly to say out loud at all. Celebratory sonic screwdrivers all around!

-I've been rewatching Doctor Who with a couple people, starting on a third, but it's with my little brother that I've gotten the farthest. We crawled at a snail's pace through season 1 until the final three episodes. And when Rose materialized (she didn't float or fly, she materialized, thanks) out of the TARDIS in all her BAMF Bad Wolf glory, honestly this was his reaction:

Then he wouldn't stop bothering me to watch on through season 2, and when we got to Doomsday, since he watched it with me the one time I accidentally saw it, he asked if we could skip on to the next episode. To which I said NO. I saw him wiping his eyes at the end and we both sort of laughed and flailed when Donna showed up. And now we're about halfway through season 3.

In his own words, "Rose is a beast!" Which is a very, very good thing. I'm quite proud of him, if I do say so myself.

If I were any less brain dead at the moment I might come up with a fancy finisher to that otherwise pointless story. Something like how the show speaks for itself, and that there's a damn good reason why it's run as long as it has. I might say something about how I wish I could have grown up with it but didn't because of the Gap Years, and that I'm eternally grateful to RTD for having the ambition to bring the show back (Star Wars was a good introduction into Sci-Fi though, so can't complain). It might all boil down to the fact that it's the 47th anniversary of Doctor Who, and that I practically pulled all of this out of the air because of my pounding head. But there's no way that could happen, not with my eyes practically crossing.

*snerk* And a Happy Who Day to you too.

doctor who, real life comes with poker cards, blah blah stuff
