"One of GLSEN's most persistent critics is Warren Throckmorton, director of counseling at Grove City College, a Christian school outside Pittsburgh. His skeptical comments about "No Name-Calling Week" have been widely circulated this month on conservative Web sites...

"But it will definitely make traditionally oriented teachers and parents and kids feel very uncomfortable, if they happen to object to homosexuality on moral grounds," he said of GLSEN's program. "If you disagree, you're hateful, you're bigoted, you're a homophobe." "

So this little excerpt makes me feel alot better because before I had always assumed that having an active desire to treat people unequally consituted bigotry but thanks to Mr. Throckmorton here I have seen the error of my ways. If I cast my discomfort with others as a one sided moral issue then suddenly I am no longer a backwards fundmentalist hatemonger. I am righteous and they are wrong. Its not my fault I hate black people. If they weren't so dark to begin with then we wouldn't have a problem now would we? And don't get me started on women. I don't think they're unequal in the eyes of god it just makes angry when I see one outside of a kitchen. Honesty whose fault is that? Not mine. I'm no bigot.
