Part III hailtheboyking May 24 2010, 12:40:59 UTC
Dean was lying on the ground, trying to catch his breath, completely covered in dirt. He immediately moves next to him, checking him over quickly before he leans in, patting his brother's cheek, trying to get him at least semi-aware of what was going on. And it worked, just not as planned, considering Dean immediately grabbed for his throat and threw him on his side. Dean's eyes were black as they stared at Sammy, who immediately tried to protest before he found there were no words in his throat. Fear was building up, knowing full-well with that grip that Dean was about ready to kill him. But something clicks, something deep down gets him to release him and stare at him, blinking back to normal eyes as he stares at Sam.

"...S-Sammy?"

He smiles, a bit breathlessly and trying not to choke too much. "H-hey Dean. Miss me?"

Dean falters, unable to help himself as he pulls his brother up, hugging him tightly. Sam wrapped his arms back around him, not saying much as he keeps him close. As good as this felt, he was beginning to worry about what exactly he had brought back - Dean, or the demon he had become.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Sam had treated Dean to everything that night. Bacon cheeseburger, fries, alcohol, everything he wanted was his. Even a nice shower and hotel room for him to stay in, just to make him comfortable again back on this earth. But he had made sure the rooms were conjoined, and once his brother fell asleep, he peeked in on him, listening to his every murmur.

"Spying on your brother, Sam?"

He almost jumped, grabbing his chest for a moment as he glares back to Lucifer. Shutting the door, he moves over to his bed, avoiding eye contact with him.

"Dean...you brought him back a demon."

"I promised you I'd bring him back. The contract didn't make any mention of what condition you wanted him in."

Damnit. A loophole.

"...it's Dean though, right? Completely?" Sam didn't wanted to believe his brother would fall so far but...hell did things to people.

"Completely. Two-hundred some-odd years in hell will do that to you, Sam."

He moves over to sit beside him, petting his shoulder and trying to comfort him just slightly. "I wouldn't worry too much on it, if I were you. Besides, it's better this way. You're both on the same team, yes?"

Sam just glanced up at him, wanting to glare but he didn't have it in him. He was broken, he had failed his brother. He had taken too long and because he wasn't there his brother...had been changed.

"But that's not what I'm here for, is it? You know what I want." Lucifer leaned in close, whispering into his ear. "Will you give me your body?"

It hurt. It hurt a lot more than he thought it would.

"Yes."
