Looks like it's tutorial time.

You go inside an item and meet the creatures that dwell within. And by 'meet' I mean 'pummel into submission'. Demons have used it for thousands of years to level gr--uh, to train to become stronger. Plus, the more bums you beat up, the stronger the item gets.

Doesn't seem like any of the residents in the items in this Netherworld are worth beating, though.

You need to find someone called an Item Worlder. They shouldn't be too hard to find. Ask around in a dark alley or in one of the bars. They'll do the work for you.
