Hi Sara!

...yeah, great. Was all the swearing really necessary?

And hi.

I guess swearing's more of England's thing, but I think it goes with the general feel. More of a - "GO AMERICA FUCK YEAH MOTHERFUCKERS!" sort of... thing.

...Right. Well, I guess it is good you have such high self-esteem! I just hope there aren't any little kids reading these journals.

That's one of the things England says I've got a lot of. If there's any kids, I'll just tell them not to watch. And tell them stories instead!

I can see why. But that's a good thing... for the most part, anyway. You have to like yourself and be comfortable with yourself to really be happy.

Really? What kind of stories?

And I'm always happy!

About me and how I became who I am! Nothing's wrong with a little patriotism early on in life!

Right! Just promise me you won't get overconfident, all right? Americans are kind of known for being arrogant already. But if you're a personification of America, maybe it can't really be helped... I wish I knew more about your fandom.

That's sweet of you, Alfred! As long as you're careful not to lay it on too thick. Patriotism can go too far, sometimes.

It's not overconfident if it's true.

There's nothing wrong with loving one's country.

Sure, Alfred.

No, but... you want people to still question authority, right? Isn't being able to question authority a really important part of being free? It's good that you want to tell them about yourself! But if they're indoctorated with too much too young, they might never question anything. Or if it's too over-the-top, they might not take you seriously at all. I guess I'm just saying... everything in moderation.

But see, that's part of it! The ability to know that they've got the right to question the government of the country they love for the good of me and that no one's going to lock them up for it!

Really? That's a good story, then. :)

Would you mind telling me the story?

Sure! It's kinda long, but that's okay, right?
