AmeriCorps it is
So I got offered a (last minute) AmeriCorps position working at an after-school community learning center for elementary kids. I almost didn't go to the interview because I didn't think I'd get any of these positions (since I've interviewed for 7 already). Not quite sure how I feel about it yet. For one, it pays shit. And two, I've had less than 24 hours to digest all of this (interview took place at 10am this morning, received position offer at 2pm, training begins tomorrow at 8am). Good experience for me, I think. But I came home and told my sister, and she just scolded me for choosing such a low-paying job. I love how much making lots and lots of money has become significant in this family. After this job ends next summer, I'm definitely taking off to another country for awhile. Still thinking Asia (if not back to Sur America). Anyone wanting to join me then is very welcome.
