to always hold my peace when the other is angry

to be calm, collected, rational, receptive, conscious, and sympathetic
I pledge..
to give the benefit of the doubt, and to avoid making assumptions
I pledge..
to listen and consider what the other is saying, even if it's not true, so that I know where my friend is coming from, and why
I pledge..
to show the world, and myself, that this is possible

And finally, I pledge..
to be the best I can be, not for my sake, but for theirs.
