California Dreaming
Ok, how to i even start to explain the shananagans.
Fri:
me and kevin head up to do the grouse gring, get it done in about one hour and twenty minutes. Which is 40 mins off our time last year. Which is rad, so we're heading home having a jolly old time and i then head off to the Pocket Dwellers/Cardinal Official show. Pocket Dwellers were down right amazing and really impressed me, alot more then i thought they would. Cardinal was like every hip hop act i have ever seen on tv and bored the heck outta me. Just not my cup of tea. I was really worried about the show because i had not a soul coming to hang out with me, but my buddy warren from work showed up last minuate in a blaze of glory. What a trooper. Afterwords i met with kevin at his work and i met his new bosses and then we went to get some food. End of day.
Sat:
wake up and go to work, do alot of prep enought to be said about that. Because quite frankly saturday was CAT EMPIRE DAY. If you have not heard or seen the cat empire i honestly feel pity for you. Me and kevin headed over to chelsea's house to get our hair cuts, she did a great job on them both. I also was about to convince chelsea to come to cat empire because they are super sweet. We then met up with Trev and Mishelle and went to see the cat empire. And i fell in love all over again. Alot of sweet people were there and we had a swell old time (ken/pat/amy/diego and other random school friends). The cat empire were amazing, like always. But this led to some amazing news. THE CAT EMPIRE WERE PLAYING A SECOND FREE SHOW IN THE DAY IN GASTOWN. Now of course this was just the best news ever. I honestly had trouble sleeping.
Sun:
wake up and go to work, do alot of prep. But i had to get warren to stay instead of me so i could go see the best band in the world. With much rumbling and grumbling he agreed and i apolize/thank and will make it up to him i promise. So I then pick up chelsea and we bus into town to see the CAT EMPIRE again. Which they played just as an amazing show as before only they were playing outside to a packed street and with a beatifull 33 degree weather to enjoy ourselves. While at the cat empire show we met up with two friends of trevors who had been staying with him for the next couple of days. Julia and Kathryn i believe. Two sisters from cali. They turned out to be pretty cool. We then all headed to malones and have food and light drinks. This whole eating turned out to decied that we should have a midnight pool/hottub party at trevs house with more drinks. Around this desision i get a phone call from my friend ken, turns out he had be caught at the border for working illegally and was not allowed into the country of america for 5 years, so he needed a place to stay. I said yes and invited him to a pool party. We all head over to trevs and have a jolly old time drinking coolers/jd/appleton/beer till about 3 in the morning were we then decied that the best thing to do would be to go for a walk around town. Well this walk lasted to well past 6 am and we all ended up crashing at trevs. (me/chelso/ken/trev/julia, kat had dissipeared.)
Mon:
I end up sleeping on a couch outside beside trevors pool and only get about 2/4 hours of real sleep. But it was nice and warm. We all wake up (take cheslo home) and head off for a fun filled day of vancouver sight seeing. Lynn vally (swimming and food) and then to the top of grouse mountain. after words we headed back into richmond for some sushi and then went home cause me and ken got really tired and were planning to just chill out all night. Well fate had other plans, doug and chad show up and decied we should all come and put soap in fountains around town. 6 bottles of dish soap and 2 bottles of laundry soap later there are man places around town with large foamy lathers. (steph your complex that was me HA). And then i came home and posted this.
Tommorow:
work and perhaps trying to find a good place to watch the sun set before the cali girls head off home.
which leads me to, them inviting me to hang out with them in cali, which has become my new plans. for august, my car and kevin (and if julia's down anyone else) goign to santa cruz and just hanging out california stylee. Im really pumped. ken can't come poor guy.
