I hate when I finish a book that completely engrossed me and I look around, sad that my book has ended, and the world moves steadily on and my emotions are my own. Makes me feel crazy. I really hate it when books make me cry in public.
I've read 3 books in 3 days.
Mira Grant is the devil. I've read four of her books (the last 3 belonging to the Newsflesh Trilogy) since the beginning of the year. Her words and storytelling have been my drug of choice for the past few weeks.
Seriously, the Newsflesh Trilogy was so much more than I expected it to be. Hell, I was only looking for a good zombie book and got so. much. more!
As you may or may not know (probably not), I'm Black and I wear my hair in its natural state. Yay for advancement in Corporate America. Though, I wear my hair in pinned updos pretty much all the time so, there's that.
I love my natural hair. It has never been longer or healthier in my 30 years of living.
Correction: I love my natural hair....up until the point I have to take these tiny twists out, pre-poo, wash, condition and re-twist it. That part is one helluva hassle.
I can't wait for Orphan Black to come back on.
What the hell is wrong with Lost Girl this season? It wasn't the greatest of shows to begin with, but now this shit is just crazier than normal. Then again, what exactly is normal on a show about the Fae...? Kenzi still rocks though.
