Beautiful music warms my soul

Thanksgiving was amazing. I loved getting to see everybody. My grandpa came up from Florida, and he was there to meet me at the airport, so that was fun. My mom and I cooked a good bit of Thursday, and lots of fun occurred Friday and Saturday nights. Coming back to Boston Sunday was interesting. I got bumped from my original flight, so I got a flight voucher and a free side trip to NYC. La Guardia is a very strange airport. The terminal where I arrived was a twenty-minute bus ride away from the departure terminal. Odd. But we flew in over Manhattan, so I got to see all the famous buildings and such.

This week has been nuts. I'm working four hours each Mondays and Wednesdays now, so I have class from ten to one and work one to five. I like to be busy. This is also concert week for HRC (Harvard Radcliffe Chorus), so we had three or four hour rehearsals Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. But tonight, I figured out how worth it it was. Oh my. We sang Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. 185 voices, 152 piece orchestra. Beautiful concert hall. It was AMAZING. The orchestra is wonderful, and to be part of something that powerful is breath-taking. It almost felt like I had stopped being me, and we were all one giant song. Glorious.

So I'll stop gushing now. Singing is invigorating yet tiring. And I have Chinatown volunteering in the morning. Time for bed.

Good luck to those of you who start finals soon!
