Ok...what's been happening recently? So much stuff...
Friday, spent a good bit of the day flying, arriving in Boston mid-afternoon. That was fun. The Detroit airport is really cool. The main terminal is really long and skinny- so long they have a monorail and moving sidewalks. It's pretty nifty to look up and see the red monorail zooming along the side of the wall. Successfully managed luggage on the T, hauled it to the admissions office and then to my sleeping quarters. I ended up staying in an upperclass house instead of the frosh dorms on the yard, but it was still nice. There were three prefrosh staying with my host, and two slept on the floor and one one the futon with a lot of floor space left. Nice big room. Didn't stay in it much while awake. Met up with friends from online and other fun new people to hang out, then dinner in Annenberg which looks remarkably like the Great Hall in the Harry Potter movies. After dinner, "regional receptions" (read: dull) and then A Capella Jam. That was amazing. A bunch of the on-campus groups got together and did a few numbers each. There was even an improv group that demonstrated a game where the audience made up three really random reasons that Sam could be late to class. Sam then had to talk around his professor (who was hysterical) trying to guess the reasons while two "class members" acted it out. Very amusing.
Saturday, shopped at the Coop (bookstore) with the padres. Met more cool people. Went to springfest, which was damp, but had fun outdoor food anyhow. Concert of the more traditional choral groups in an itty-bitty chapel. Then a few hours of nothing to do: the possible low point, but still ok. Then, I went to my first bit of college experimental theatre. It was...interesting. Huh. Then a taste of college social life.
Sunday, came home. That took all day.
Monday, English Lit AP exam. Then lots of Laura-Ann time in the afternoon, which is always good, culminating in Calculus studying.
Tuesday, Calculus. excessively difficult, i felt. ick. But it doesn't really matter to me. Any way the wind blows...
