Comic Fiesta '09
And so I feel the need to write about Comic Fiesta.
Also, I am bored.
This will be about Day 1.
Kang Wei came over at like 9 a.m. just like he stated because he is a punctual little bastard. So, he "gave" me Ms. Office for Mac which I had to pay RM300 for. It was cheaper than retail price by RM200 so eh. It wasn't me paying anyway. After that was done, he came up stairs and played my L4D2.
ANYWAY, we arrived at Sunway at around 10 a.m. or so.
It was NOT just as planned.
When we arrived we made our way to Nik's booth to our jobs with negative pay.
The emcees were not bad. I mean some times they just tried too hard. Oh and the backdrop for the stage was completely awesome, sporting a giant Elizabeth and several other animes.
Basically, shit happened. (Not really.) The first day was pretty bland, we sat there selling things and earning money that wasn't our to keep. We had accumulated over RM200 by the end of the day. NGGGH. We got a 'thank you' as payment. But I don't care, Comic Fiesta was pretty cool. Kang Wei had a bad experience though. He's just not in to these kinda things I guess and he probably hates it when he works for nothing. Wei Min walked around a lot. He killed his legs.
I bought two prints:-
The Dawn of Neverland

Total Damage was RM18. RM10 for the former, RM8 for the latter. (I got the latter cheaper than Nik. HUR HUR HUR.)
We also met Teoh Eu Ern who is our senior. We knew him quite a bit. Kang Wei had the 23rd sense and new he'd be there.
There were also performances on stage. Worthy of note was Vampire Twiknight which was pretty funny. And several singers were quite awesome also. Cosplays were surprisingly good. Like the cosplay of Alex Mercer from Prototype. The arm blade thing was really awesome.
Jin Wei bought a FMA stopwatch thingo that cost him RM40. He regretted it.
Later when me, Nik, Jin Wei and Kang Wei were having dinner I bought Kang Wei's Sephiroth. Cost me another RM8. Whatever.
By the end of the day, I had spent all my monies. Effectively making my wallet useless.
Also, I didn't get to meet any PPF-ers. Faust told me he ran around in a pedobear mask and talked to like everyone though. He describes himself as a guy speaking in a weird accent wearing a Reborn hat and a Pedobear face mask so maybe one of you saw him? Apparently, others like Xypher and his sister were there too. I don't know who (s)he is though so eh.
That's pretty much it for day 1. It was pretty eh. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either though Faust said he had an exceptionally great time. I also got to meet some pretty awesome people too like er... Athirah and whoever else. Jin Wei and Nik (Who fail at Ouendan) tells me the previous years were better. Oh right, I also got to see Yi Jun's new hairdo. I thought she was Jin Wei's sister or something if he even has one. :V
