Hikaru squinted his eyes open, trying to adjust his vision. He rolled to his side and felt that something is not right. He inhale and smelt something different on his pillow and it’s definitely not his shampoo.
“Yabu!” He quickly sat up then whined in pain when he felt the pain on his back. Then he looks around to find to sign of Yabu, except for the slightly open door. He glanced at the clock on the table beside him ‘7.20am’
He didn’t want to believe the fact that Yabu left him just like that, he got up from bed and put on his pants and shirt before going downstairs to see if Maybe Yabu got hungry and went to the kitchen but he’s not there either. Hikaru bit his lips, Why is Yabu always doing this? always making him want to cry.
Before Hikaru could even get angry, he heard the sound of the front door closing.
“Yabu?” He murmured.
Hikaru ran towards the front door and open it to find Yabu walking towards the gate. He glared at Yabu’s back and without even thinking he ran towards him.
“You’re unbelievable!!” Hikaru shouted and push Yabu’s back with his hands.
Yabu stumbled down and almost fell to the ground. He turn around and faces Hikaru.
“What do you think I am your sex toy?!” Hikaru shouted again, not caring if he wakes up the whole neighborhood. “Leaving the door open like that so what, so my parents can see I was made into a whore?!”
“Hikaru, stop-” Yabu said calmly, trying to calm Him down but instead Hikaru punched his cheek and he fell to the ground.
“Did it ever cross your mind that I let you have sex with me because I’m in love with you?!”
“Why the hell do you have to runaway all the time?! If you don’t have the same feeling as I do then just fucking leave me be! Don’t just come back here and fuck me for all you want!” Hikaru shouted.
Hikaru felt tears coming out of his eyes and he’s breathing heavily already, he turn around, taking a deep breath then walk back towards the house.
Yabu got up quickly; hissing in pain at his cheek then ran after Hikaru and grabs his wrist.
“Hikaru I didn’t mean to-“
Hikaru shove his hand away from Yabu’s grip. “Leave me” Hikaru muttered.
“I won’t” Yabu said back. “I’m sorry…”
Yabu hesitated for a bit then he wraps his hands around Hikaru’s shoulder from behind. “I just didn’t know how to react when you said you love me”
Hikaru blushed at Yabu’s statement, at the same time feeling surprised about it.
“…Because no one has ever said that to me” Yabu continued.
“….Do you love me?” Hikaru asked after the silence, it took him a lot of courage to ask Yabu that question.
Yabu didn’t answer; instead he tightened his hold around Hikaru. It didn’t take a minute for Hikaru to understand Yabu’s respond.
“Then let me go…” Hikaru murmured, holding back tears “It’s officially over between us” He continued before taking Yabu’s hands off him and walk inside the house, closing the door.
Yabu bit his lips and cast his eyes down to the ground, he clenched his fist and confused. He just didn’t want to let go of Hikaru. ever. But if what he did hurts Hikaru, he’d just let him go.

It’s been more than 3 months since the incident, Hikaru’s heart is healing bit by bit, Even when he pass by Yabu at school, he’d just act normal and pretend he didn’t see him and eventually moved on. He also got close t his classmate, Omori Sawa, Sawa is a soft, kind hearted person, during sports day, Sawa fainted because of asthma, and for no reason Hikaru stayed beside her in the sickbay until she had woken up. He confessed his feelings for her and she became hikaru’s girlfriend . Yabu on the other hand actually broke up with girlfriend after ditching her for Hikaru months ago and is now more focused on his studies for the university entrance exams.
“Wow, That looks really alive” Hikaru commented after looking at Sawa’s painting.
“Oh, you shock me there” Sawa said and she turn around to face Hikaru. “where were you just now?”
“I was with Daiki buying some candies from the cafeteria. Want some?” Hikaru asked and sat beside Sawa.
“Thank you” Sawa smiled and put her paintbrush down to unwrap the candy.
“Shall we go home?” Hikaru asked after noticing Sawa finish her painting, she nodded before grabbing her bag so as Hikaru and exited the art class.
“Ne I was thinking of cutting my hair, maybe short? Like yours” Sawa pointed out.
“What? But you look beautiful with long hair. I’d prefer it this way” Hikaru said and brush a few strand of hair from Sawa’s face and tuck it behind her ear, then she smiled at him, Hikaru smiled back before leaning forward to kiss her.
Hikaru walked Sawa to the train; once they reach there they had a little bit of talking before they heard the announcement of the arrival for Sawa’s stop. Hikaru pulled her into a hug.
“Take care of yourself” Hikaru said before letting go of her.
“Good night, Hikaru” Sawa stated before getting in.
“Good night, Sawachan” Hikaru responded before the train door closes and Sawa waved at him from inside, Hikaru waved back.
Hikaru sigh. Then when he turns around, he saw Yabu from afar who seems like he just got out of the train, and is actually staring at him. Hikaru cleared his throat and walk away.
When Hikaru reached home, he laid down on the bed and fell asleep.
“Hikaru”
Hikaru looked up and saw Yabu infront of him.
He quickly got up from bed step backwards. “What are you doing here?”
“Your mom let me in” Yabu answered. “Look, I know it’s a long time ago but… I miss you”
Hikaru couldn’t believe his ears, did Yabu said he miss him? “Why are you doing this? To get back at me? Sorry but I have a girlfriend now”
“You know as well as I do that you still love me, Hikaru. Even if you try to forget about me, I’d still be in your mind” Yabu answered.
“You’ve hurt me enough! so just leave!” Hikaru shouted.
“I can’t leave you like this” Yabu step forward and was about to kiss him.
“You can’t keep coming in here to have sex with me!” Hikaru pushed him away but that didn’t stop Yabu but instead Yabu grab his wrist and pulled his hand.
“You know you want to” Yabu whispered seductively.
“Stop it my mom’s here” Hikaru pulled his hand away.
“I love you, Hikaru” Yabu whispered in Hikaru’s ear.
Hikaru gasped and sat up on bed, breathing heavily. He looked around then sigh.
“Just a dream” He murmured.
Hikaru stood up from his bed and walked to his closet to get a set of clothes, when he was taking of his tie, he saw the tie hanging in his closet, he has never worn them since it’s Yabu’s. He left it there and has not been wearing a tie whenever he goes to school. For 3 months now… Hikaru should’ve already faced his fears and just go give it back to him the next day.
“I love you, Hikaru” Yabu whispered in Hikaru’s ear.
That dream earlier seems almost true to Hikaru, But then he remembered why they ‘broke up’, it breaks his heart and although he didn’t think about Yabu, he’s still in his mind for some unknown reason.
“Hikaru~ time for dinner~” Hikaru’s mother called out.
Hikaru shook his head then change his clothes. After he had his dinner he took a shower and do his homework before going to sleep.

“Why can’t you give it yourself?” Daiki asked in an annoyed tone.
“pleasssseee Daichannnn~ just do me this one favor and I’ll go with you everytime you invite me out” Hikaru begged and clasp his palms together.
Hikaru was wrong, when he saw Yabu at the entrance of the school, his thoughts of courage automatically change and he decided he didn’t want to give the tie back to Yabu. Instead, he asked Daiki to do it for him. He did lie for a bit when Daiki asked why the tie is with him then he answered Yabu left it in the changing room when he was playing soccer.
“I mean, what’s the big deal here? Yabu-senpai’s a nice person. And what’s with you and Yabu-senpai anyway?” Daiki questioned.
“Well… We…sort of had a fight… and I don’t want to talk to him at the moment” Atleast this time Hikaru answered a bit honest.
Daiki thought about it for a moment. Well since Hikaru is his friend, he has to help.
“Fine” Daiki agreed.
“Thank youuu~~~” Hikaru pulled Daiki and hugged him tightly.
“I’m gonna go now, Sawa’s waiting for me at the music room” Hikaru said and let go of Daiki.
“Thanks Daichan” Hikaru said again before leaving the classroom.
In the middle of walking to the music room, Something made Hikaru stop and he gasped.
“If I didn’t give it myself he’ll think I’m a coward” He thought and cursed himself.

“Yabu senpai” Daiki called out when he saw Yabu at the stairs.
“Yes Daiki? By the way, you don’t have to call me senpai, just Yabu is okay” Yabu winked at Daiki.
“Oh, okay” Daiki smiled. “Hikaru wanted me to give this to you” He handed the tie to Yabu.
Yabu look down and take the tie into his hand. Inside, he was a bit disappointed. Why can’t Hikaru give it to him himself?
“Thanks” Yabu smiled a bit.
“He’s worried that you’d get scolded for not wearing a Tie” Daiki stated. “I wonder why you two fought. Hikaru’s not the type to fight and you’re a nice guy so…”
“Well it’s not my business anyway. Whatever it is I hope you guys could work things out” Daiki reassured and pat Yabu’s shoulder.

“See, not that difficult right?” Hikaru smiled at Sawa sitting beside him and Hikaru teaching Sawa to play piano.
“Well, it’s only merry-had-a-little-lamb” Sawa sing songed for a bit. “It’s still difficult” She pouted.
“Don’t worry, you will get it right. If you really want to learn how to play piano, and then do whatever it takes to get it right” Hikaru adviced.
“Thank you, Hikaru” Sawa nudged Hikaru’s shoulder.
Then Sawa leaned closer and Hikaru too until their lips met in a kiss. They broke the kiss and Hikaru tilted his head to get a better position in the kiss. Hikaru’s hand gently went up Sawa’s shoulder then to her neck, not breaking the kiss and he gently and deepen the kiss a little.
Hikaru felt something weird. The moment they kiss, Yabu’s lips came to his mind, Yabu’s lips was so different from Sawa, Sawa’s lips is soft and warm, and Yabu’s… different… in a way it made him feel good… too good…but with Sawa… it’s just a warm kiss.
Without realizing it, Hikaru’s hand other hand made its way to Sawa’s thigh and into the skirt. Somehow in the back of Hikaru’s mind, this is wrong but parts of him feel like he wants to get back to Yabu by doing this. Yabu had hurt him, and somehow to Hikaru, this is his way of revenge, whether Yabu knows or not.
Sawa complied to the kiss, being a little bit shy too, and the moment Hikaru’s hand touches her thigh, she squeals. It’s not like she didn’t like it but it’s curiosity. She wants to know what’s gonna happen if they keep kissing, So she move closer, breaking the kiss a bit and sat on Hikaru’s lap, her fingers brush against Hikaru’s hair, the kiss was getting to heated. And Sawa somehow didn’t feel good in her heart, so she broke the kiss.
“Sorry” She breathes. “I can’t breathe”
Hikaru look at Sawa concernly. “Sawa?”
Sawa got up from Hikaru’s lap and breathe in and out heavily. Hikaru stood up too, worried about Sawa. Then he remembered that Sawa has asthma. Then he look around and grab Sawa’s bag and took out her inhaler.
“here” He handed the inhaler to Sawa.
“Thank you” Sawa grab the inhaler and uses it.
Hikaru could only rub Sawa’s back gently with his hand. He felt guilty. He should’ve never done that to Sawa, especially knowing that inside, he felt so bad because he just wanted to get his revenge.
“I’m sorry” Hikaru apologized.
“No,it’s okay” Sawa reassured after inhaling, after a while she finally calm down.
“I’m gonna go to the toilet for a bit” Sawa said and Hikaru nodded. He sat down on the chair and breathes out.
“Do you hate me that much?”
After a few seconds of silence, He heard Yabu’s voice. He turns around and felt surprise as he unconsciously backed away a bit.
“I know I hurt you… and I’ve already apologized… you can’t even face me after 3 months. Is that really your girlfriend?” Yabu asked.
“…it’s none of your business” Hikaru answered.
“You can’t even give me my tie back yourself” Yabu said, as if he just couldn’t believe it.
“Well you already have it back so you could just go-“
“Stop trying to get rid of me Hikaru” Yabu cut Hikaru’s sentence.
“Just so you know if you didn’t end things up between us I’d end up loving you like I am now” Yabu stated, his eyes never taking off from Hikaru’s eyes.
“I hope you’re happy with her” Yabu said lastly before going away.
After a few seconds Sawa came back to the music room.
“Hikaru?” Sawa called out.
Hikaru turn around and smiled at Sawa. “You feeling okay?”
“Yeah… I’m fine now” Sawa answered.
Hikaru smiled in relief, if they didn’t stop kissing who knows what will happen. In hikaru’s heart, he is breaking into pieces and does his best putting on a pokeface until he got home.

“Just so you know if you didn’t end things up between us I’d end up loving you like I am now” Yabu stated, his eyes never taking off from Hikaru’s eyes.
“I hope you’re happy with her” Yabu said lastly before going away.
After a few seconds Sawa came back to the music room.
“Hikaru?” Sawa called out.
Hikaru turn around and smiled at Sawa. “You feeling okay?”
“Yeah… I’m fine now” Sawa answered.
Hikaru smiled in relief, if they didn’t stop kissing who knows what will happen. In hikaru’s heart, he is breaking into pieces and does his best putting on a pokeface until he got home.
