For Wednesday September 24th - Sunday Ocotber 27th



Wow, it's been quite some time since I did an update.
I kept telling myself to do it, but I didn't...but now I am.
It'll be a long update, so try to enjoy the nice pictures...if I find some to put up also.
A lot has happened so I'll start where I left off.

Thursday I got up, went to my contemporary cinema class, which wasn't that bad, and afterwards I went to get a Rockstar from the library.
Once I got my Rockstar I was out having a cigarette, and was going to just go hang out on the old capitol steps listening to music before my screenwriting class, but I was ambushed by Gerton who had seen me walking around.
Gerton was on his way to get some lunch so I joined him.
We went over to Pita Pit so he could get some food. I didn't have anything, I was just there to hang out.
We left Pita Pit, he went to class, and I went to the old capitol steps to hang out listening to music, and while I was doing that I figured out for the most part what I was going to play the next night on my show.
It was a nice warm sunny day, so it was nice to just be outside. Eventually I went to my screenwriting class.
Class was interesting because my teacher had a defense attorney come in to talk to the class about legal issues we might encouter within our screenplays.
I got out of class, and then walked right across to BCSB for my contemporary cinema screening of Far From Heaven which was interesting even though it was a melodrama.
The screening ended, and I went to get myself some dinner from Which Wich before going to Spanish.
Spanish was alright, and once I left I went to my dorm, watched a little bit of the most recent episode of Sunny then Dan stopped by to pick me up.
We went over to Dan's place, watched some old old DBZ, smoked a little, and played a bunch of DOA 4.
Dan went off to bed, and I fell asleep to Team America World Police.

Friday I got up at Dan’s, and he had to go to class at noon so he dropped me off at my place. I hung out for a bit in my room, eventually got myself some lunch in Burge and went back to my dorm to work on my journal for Screenwriting.
I e-mailed the journal to Teal, printed off some stuff to talk to Teal about, and then went to Teal’s office hours. Meeting with Teal was pretty badass, we talked a bit about my story, and he helped me gather up some new awesome ideas. The rest of the time I was there it was just Teal, Patrick, some other guy, and myself just shooting that shit about movies and tv.
I left, went back to my dorm, and collected the music for my show. Once I got the music I was going to use I hung out in my room, and then later in the night I headed over to meet up with Rush, Kyle, and Jon at some party at Washington/Burlington. On my way there I stopped to get some cigarettes. I made it to the party, got myself some free beer thanks to Kyle, and just hung out while Rush/Kyle destroyed at least 8 different teams in beer pong.
I hung out there for a while, and then hauled ass to the Quad to do my show. On my way there I stopped by Kum & Go to get myself a Rockstar. The show went pretty well I thought, and I had a lot of fun. The kid that was set to be on after me didn’t show up, and I wasn’t aware that he wasn’t going to show up so I was a little confused.
I had someone lock up the station when I left, and walked off to Rush’s.
I arrived to Rush, Jon, Kyle, Trevor, and Tristan watching The Simpsons.
Tristan went to pass out on Ernie/Josh’s side, and I got to take his spot. We watched a bunch more episodes of The Simpsons, smoked some more, and I left around 4am. I got back to my dorm, watched some tv, stayed up really late, and ended up making a new gush track because I was still a little baked. I came up with an idea that I wanted to try to make, and had some fun with it.
I made the track, stayed up, went outside to have some cigarettes, went back to my dorm, and went to bed around 930 in the morning.

Saturday I woke up around 4 in the afternoon, had some dinner at burge, hung out in my room, played some assassin’s creed because I haven't in a while. Dan showed up to pick me up, we went to get beer, and then went to Dan’s. We were going to watch some old ass DBZ, but Dan's roommate had taken it so we watched Boondock Saints, and a couple episodes of Sunny.

Sunday I got up at Dan’s, we chilled there for a while playing video games then went, and stopped by Tori’s to get her. Once we got Tori we went downtown for Chipotle, which is never that great, I prefer Panchero's actually. We left downtown, and went to hang out at Tori's for a little before Dan and I left to go to Joe Cox's place. We enjoyed some charlemagne at Joe's, hung out there for a while, and then once the time drew near I went to Hamburg to meet up with everyone.
After an amazing meal at Hamburg we went to Rush’s, enjoyed some charlemagne, watched a few episodes of The Simpsons, and around 8:45 we walked over to Currier to watch Entourage.
We kept the fun going, and went back to Rush's for some more Simpsons, and some more charlemagne.

Monday I didn't get up until around 3 in the afternoon. Once I got up I worked on Spanish stuff, then went to Burge to have a REALLY quick dinner. I went to my Spanish class, which wasn't that bad, and after class went to Rush’s.
I hung out there for a while like usual while we all enjoyed some charlemange, and Simpsons.
I walked back to my dorm, and worked on my screenplay...finally.

Tuesday I managed to wake up, and once I did I walked over to my contemporary cinema class. Class wasn't too bad, and as soon as I got out of there I went to the library to hang out and work on my script.
Screenwriting followed that, which was fun as per usual, and then went to burge to get some lunch. I hung out in the burge lobby working on my script, and not too much later I went to Rush’s to work on my script some more.
Rush, and Sahaj were both going to be in class, and I even ran in to Rush on my way to their place, but Rush just told me to go in through Josh/Ernie's side. I just relaxed at Rush's worked on my script, and then later around 6:30 I walked over to my film authors screening of Bonnie & Clyde.
The movie was pretty badass, and after I left there I just went right back to Sahaj's to hang out.

Wednesday I woke up around three in the afternoon, read the stuff I needed to for film authors, and then went to class. Class went alright I thought, and when I left there I went to Sahaj/Rush's to hang out.

Thursday once I managed to get myself out of bed I went to my contemporary cinema class.
Between contemporary cinema, and screenwriting I walked back to my dorm to work on some Spanish stuff, and then as soon as I finished that I went to screenwriting.
Following screenwriting was my contemporary film screening of Amores Perros.
Amores Perros is pretty good, but definitely not a feel good movie.
I got out of the screening, went to the library to print off stuff for Spanish, and while I was there I ran into Kaitlyn, which was cool because I hadn't really seen her that much.
I left the library, and walked over to Spanish.
Spanish wasn't anything too intense that day, and when I left I went to hang out in my dorm a little before going over to Sahaj's place to hang out.
I hadn't eaten all day, and when I got back to my room I finally had something to eat...while I watched...


Friday I got up around 1 in the afternoon, packed up my stuff, and Adrienne came by to pick me up.
We went to meet up with some other people, and then all hopped in one car to go to to DM. The car ride wasn't that bad, but the lady that was driving is an insane driver...pretty nuts actually. I'm surprised we made it.
When I got in to town we went straight to a rehearsal dinner, I had a little booze...just one glass of straight whisky, went home to drop off my stuff then hopped in my car.
I got some gas, went to Wal-Mart, got myself a Rockstar, and then went to Keaschall's to watch the second half of The Love Guru with Keasch and Blocko, had some wine, watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall, had some more wine, watched the newest episodes of Sunny, and then I headed back home to sleep in my own bed.

Saturday I got up around 10 to try on my tux to make sure it fir which it did so I went back to bed until I woke back up later at 12:40.
I suited up, went to the church with my dad, rehearsed the wedding, took photos with the wedding party because I was in it, and then came time for the wedding itself.
It was all pretty fun, and after the wedding the wedding party pilled in to one of those absurd Hummer H2 stretch limo's.
We drove around downtown DM taking pictures, and drinking up all the beer and booze that was in the limo itself.
We arrived to the reception after we got enough pictures, and then the real fun started...yeah.
I was just sipping on straight whisky all night, and it was pretty strong.
Yeah, I ended up blacking out.
Threw up in the bathroom, and my dad drove me home once it got late.
I was stumbling everywhere, and once I got in my room I just passed out on my bed.

Sunday I got up around 9 a little hung over, and once I woke up I just stayed in bed staring at the ceiling. I hung out at home while people started to show up to watch my sister and Leif open their wedding gifts.
Before too many people showed up I went to Border's to get a copy of...


I came back home, watched the opening of presents, packed up all my stuff, and then left with Adrienne and her fiancé back to IC.
Adrienne dropped me off at my dorm, I unpacked my stuff, and then searched online for some analysis stuff about The French Connection.
I hung out in my room with the sounds of the shit movie Fantastic Four 2, and eventually went over to Rush's to kick off the Sunday festivities.
We all hung out at Rush's for a little while Josh played Ernie in MLP 2K9, we enjoyed some charlemagne, and then went to Hamburg...


Once we were done with an amazing meal at Hamburg we went straight to Currier to watch a new episode of Entourage.
We went back to Rush's, but before that I went to my room to get my Sunny dvds.
As soon as we got back to Rush's we watched all of season 1, and then I headed back to my dorm to get some sleep.

Monday awoke around 2 in the afternoon, worked on some stuff for my Spanish class, hung out in my room, and then went to get some dinner in Burger before going to class.
Class ended, I went back to my dorm to drop some stuff off, and wasn't really planning on going out because I needed to watch The French Connection.
I got a call from Rush, and he was telling me that I should come over and bring Sunny with me so we could watch some more.
I grabbed the dvds then went over to Rush's to watch, and smoke a little.
Afterwards I came back to my dorm to read some stuff for contemporary cinema, and followed that up by going to bed.

Tuesday I got up, went to contemporary cinema, and between that class and screenwriting I hung out in the AJB commons area working on my script before going to the library to work on my script there.
I got out of class, ran in to Crowmaster, and we walked around talking about Teal because he has him for Fiction Writing where as he's my teacher for Screenwriting.
I went to Burge to get some lunch, and then took a trip over to Rush's to work on my script some more there.
Eventually around 6:30 I started to walk over to my Spanish class, and ran in to Rush on the way because he just got done with classes for the day...I think.
I went to my film authors screening of Easy Rider, left class, went to Burge to get a small pizza, and then went off to my room.
The pizza was good, they always are, and once I was done I watched the latest episode of Entourage (Joshua Tree), and then watched The French Connection finally.
After the movie I hung out in my room a little more before heading off to bed.

Wednesday I got up around noon, and then went off to Which Wich to meet up with Kaitlyn for lunch, which was nice. On my way there I was confronted by a woman that was asking me if I was registered to vote, which I am, but I'm not registered to vote in IC so I told her that I had to have lunch, I was on a timeframe, and that after I finished lunch I would come back to register for IC...which I did.
Lunch was good, I left, registered to vote in IC, and then went to my dorm to read my stuff for film authors.
After I was done reading I watched The French Connection again (this time with director commentary), and then went to my film authors class.
I kind of didn't want to leave class because I knew that once I did I'd have to go write my paper about TFC, but I knew I had to so I left class, went to Burge to get a small pizza, went to my dorm to eat it, and then finally worked on my paper for film authors while TFC worked as background noise all the through...twice. I finished the paper, printed it off, watched the latest episode of Entourage (Joshua Tree)...again, and then went to bed.

Thursday once I managed to get up I went to my contemporary cinema class, which went by pretty quickly. I left to hang out in my room before going back to the AJB for screenwriting.
Well we didn't really do much at all in screenwriting because it was an optional day so we just did a table read of some screenplays from people in the class. It was pretty fun actually, and following that class it was off to my contemporary cinema screening of Children of Men. I wasn't too excited to see the movie, just because I've already seen it quite a few times, but once I got in to the screening I was actually excited.
As soon as the screening was over I went to the den to get a fountain drink, and then walked over to my Spanish class.
I got to class early so I watched Relatively Sane on my iPod, went outside to have a cigarette, and when I came back inside it was time for class.
Spanish ended, and I went back to my dorm to drop off my stuff, but also to meet up with Dan.
Dan, and I were trying to figure out what to do, and we eventually decided upon going to B-Dubs in Coralville because I haven't been there before and I was really hungry
When we got in we were able to watch the last couple of innings in the Phillies-Dodgers game. Rush is a really big Phillies fan, and it's started to rub off on me so now I'm starting to take a liking in the Phillies.
We got our food, hung out at BDUBS a little, and then went to Wal-Mart to get some beer.
Dan, and I went back to his place to hang out, drink our beer, play video games, watch some episodes of South Park, and then eventually started to watch a few episodes of DBZ.

Friday Dan had to go to class at noon so around 11 in the morning he dropped me off at my dorm. I hung out in my room pretty much all day. I watched the Phillies game that I knew Rush was at because he flew home for a couple of the games.
I stayed in pretty much the rest of the night.
By the time I knew it, it was 11pm and I needed to get ready for my show.
I didn't get ready in time, and ended up calling in sick and spent the rest of my night in my room.

Saturday I woke up around middate, hung out in my dorm, watched tv, and then decided to go over to Burge to get some lunch. Lunch wasn't that bad, and after that I just stayed shut in my room until Rush called me because he was outside of my building to pick me up.
Rush had just arrived back in town, and decided he'd swing by to get me.
We went over to Rush's, and hung out with Jon while we watched some episodes of The Simpsons, and enjoyed some charlemagne also.
While Rush was home he bought a cord so he could plug his Macbook into his tv, which was cool because now we can watch a lot more stuff. Rush wanted to start up on Lost the next day for the Sunday activities, which sounded good because I hadn't seen it at all, and we'd be starting from the very beginning so that was nice.

Sunday I got up a little late in the day, hung out in my dorm, and should have done some homework, but I didn't.
I went to Hamburg to meet up with everyone, and from there we went to Rush's to start watching...


I was addicted from the first episode, and I couldn't wait to watch more.

Monday I woke up somewhere around 3 in the afternoon, relaxed in my room, and then proceeded to start working on some of my Spanish homework.
I got some dinner that wasn't that bad in Burge, and then continued on to my Spanish class.
Spanish was fine, but all I could think about was...


After Spanish I went over to Rush's to continue watching season 1 of Lost.

Tuesday I got up to my alarm clocks blarring, and eventually dragged myself out of bed so I could go to my contemporary cinema class.
Between contemporary cinema, and screenwriting I just hung out in Adler for a while like usual when I just want to relax, or just sit and think.
Screenwriting was nice because our teacher brought in this guy "Brother Jed" to talk to our class.

Brother Jed came to our class to teach us a few things about storytelling, which he does very well, and can engage an audience with relative ease.
After class I hung out in the Pentacrest watching Brother Jed preach to people.
I met a cool girl there named Nico, and once I left I went to hang out in my room before going to film authors so we could discuss Easy Rider as well as the midterm that was set for the following day.
Me, and a few people from class decided to get together after class to study.
We went to the library, which was packed so we went to Andrew's place to study there.
I believe we actually did get some good studying in, and once I was able to get out of there (around midnight) I went straight to Rush's to watch some more episodes of Lost.
Lost is what I look forward to on most days, which may be a little sad, but at least it's something to look forward to.

Wednesday I got up at a reasonable time for a Wednesday, and went to the Pentacrest to see Brother Jed before going to the library to study for my film authors midterm.
I finished studying, went to film authors, took the midterm, and then went back to my dorm.
I wasn't sure what to think about the midterm, but I know I didn't ace it.
When I got back to my dorm I went over some things with Kevin from my Spanish class who also lives on my floor, and then went to watch some Lost at Sahaj's.

Thursday once I got out of bed I went to contemporary cinema to take my midterm, and following that I just went to relax in the comfy chairs of the AJB commons center.
I went to the library to go over some stuff for Spanish, and then went to my screenwriting class.
Screenwriting was fun like usual because it's still the only class that I look forward to.
My contemporary cinema film screening was after screenwriting, and we watched 21 Grams, which is a little long, but good.
I went to the Pentacrest to see if Brother Jed was still there, which he was, and while I was there I ran in to Rush who was there to check out the action. We went to the Den so I could get a fountain drink, and on the way I gave him the low down on Brother Jed, which made everything a lot clearer for him.
I got my drink, parted ways with Rush, and then went to Spanish.
I got to Spanish early, and I was able to leave early too so I rushed out of the building, went to my room, dropped off my stuff, and then went to meet up with Rush, Sahaj, Josh, and Terry at BDUBS. When we got out of BDUBS we went back to Rush's to watch some more of our latest addiction...Lost.

Friday I got up around 1:30 in the afternoon, hung out in my room, and then eventually went to the Pentacrest to watch Brother Jed preach for the last day on campus.
I left the Pentacrest, got some coffee, and went to Teal's office hours to talk shit about movies.
When I left I walked right over to Burge to get some dinner, and then went back to my room.
Chris, and Sammy stopped by a little later, we hung out a little, and hopped in Sammy's car so he could park it by The Picador.
We wandered around IC for a bit, went to the ATM, then went to Panchero's so Chris & Sammy could get some food.
After they were done eating we went to the Picador to hang out, have some beer, and enjoy the sweet sounds of Ghengis Tron.
The concert was pretty badass, especially because of the light set-up that Ghengis Tron has.
The concert ended, Chris & Sammy headed off to Jarrod's, and I went over to Sahaj's for a little bit.
I left Sahaj's around 11:30 to go do my radio show, and after that I hauled ass back to Sahaj's place to smoke and watch some episodes of Lost. When I got back to my dorm I didn't set any alarms to wake me up because I'd decided that I'd sleep until I knew it was time to wake up.

Saturday I pretty much slept my day away because I got up around 6:30pm.
I got up, and went to get a nice meal at Burge before going back to my dorm to hang out there for a while.
Eventually I went over to Rush's because they were going to have a party.
They bought 3 kegs, and even made a nice profit too so that was cool.
The party was pretty awesome, and there was this one drunk girl that was just grinding...on everyone.
"I just like to dance, what the fuck?"
At least that was her reply when most of the guys were saying she was a skank.
I hung out at Rush's while the night wound down until Tristin just kicked the rest of the people out, which was fun to see.
I left a little later, and went back to my dorm to get some rest.

Sunday I awoke around noon, and stayed in bed being lazy until I got up around 1 to go over to Rush's place to hang out.
There was a reason for showing up there at 1 in the afternoon because the plan for the day was to watch a shit load of lost, and also partake in Sunday's festivities.
We did watch a lot of lost, watched the newest episode of The Simpsons, and once Josh came back from his game we all (Rush, Sahaj, Josh, Wei, Gerton, Dan, and myself) went to Hamburg for dinner.
We left Hamburg, hopped in Damico's car, went to Currier, and hung out in Grace's room watching some new Entourage.
Afterwards we hopped in Rush's car, went to get the kegs, took the kegs back to John's Grocery, and then went back to Rush's to watch some more Lost.
Damico gave me a ride back to my dorm, which was nice, and I just hung out in my room a little before going to bed.

Monday I got up at 3 by my RA who was introducing me to what may be my new roommate, but we'll see.
Since I was up I hung out in my room, watched a bit of We Are Marshall, and tried to work on stuff for Spanish, but that didn't happen as much as it should have.
I stayed in my room a bit more until I had to go to class.
Spanish was decent, and afterwards I went over to Rush's to watch some episodes of Lost.
Oh really? You watched Lost?
Yeah.
On my way back to my dorm I stopped by the Handi-Mart to get a new pack of cigarettes.

Tuesday I got up, went to contemporary cinema, and afterwards I hung out in the AJB commons area like I usually do.
I went to screenwriting, which was fun because it was all about the movie industry, and what to do to get into it. After class I talked to Teal a bit more, and then hopped on the bus to go back to my dorm. I hung out in my dorm for a while, and then went to my film authors screening of McCabe & Mrs. Miller.
We ended up changing out screening area once again, and went to AJB which was nice because the screening area is amazing there.
I left the screening, went to the Den, but didn't get anything, and then went to Jimmy John's to get something to drink and to get something to eat.
I went to Rush's to watch some episodes of Lost, and we ended up reaching the season finale of season 2, which is the last bit of Lost that I've seen in a while.
I watched Rush play some Fable II for a little, joined in after a bit, and then went back to my dorm.

Wednesday I woke up around the typical time of three in the afternoon, and immediately started working on my stuff for film authors.
I was really nice outside all day. It was a cold, cloudy, windy fall day...it was awesome.
I stayed in my room for a while until I left for class.
We got our papers back, and I got a C. I wasn't too happy with it, and I know I need to do better on the next one.
I hopped on the bus, went back to my building, and before I went back to my room I stopped by Burge to get a pizza. I worked on some stuff for Spanish, watched random interviews of people from Lost of YouTube, read some stuff for my contemporary cinema class, took a nice hot shower, and went to bed.

Thursday got up to a rainstorm, went to contemporary cinema, went to the AJB commons area, fell asleep in the comfy chairs, woke up not feeling too comfortable, went to screenwriting, screenwriting was good, left class, went to watch Bend It Like Beckham for contemporary cinema, left there, went to the library to print off some stuff, got myself a rockstar then went to my Spanish class. Spanish was really lame, and once I left there I went to my dorm, hung out in my dorm a little, went to Sahaj’s place. Hung out there for a bit, played some video games, watched some simpsons, smoked a little, went back to my dorm. I went back to my building, but before going to my dorm I checked my mail, and my Venetian Snares ticket was in there, which was amazing to see.

Thursday I woke up to a nice rainstorm outside, which was cool, and once I was up I went outside to hop on the bus to go to my contemporary cinema class.
Screenwriting followed, and was fun like usual. I left screenwriting, and then went to my contemporary cinema screening of Bend It Like Beckham, which I have to say wasn't really that bad. It was an interesting movie, but not one that I'd watch that often if ever outside of a class.
I left the screening, then walked over to the library to print off some stuff for class, and to get a Rockstar.
After I got out of the library I went to my Spanish class.
Spanish was really lame because of a test, and a writing assignment, but afterwards I went to my dorm to drop off some stuff, hung out there, and then went over to Sahaj's place.
I hung out with Sahaj, and everyone else for a while playing video games, watched some of The Simpsons, enjoyed some charlemagn, and then I headed back to my dorm once it got pretty late.

Friday I got up around 3 in the afternoon, hung out in my room, started to pick some music for my radio show, had a nice Burge dinner...well it wasn't that great, but it was good enough, and then I finished up with the music while Man of the Year played on HBO as background noise. I stayed in my room a bit more, typed up some things for this update, and then headed off to Sahaj's place to hang out.
I hung out at their place for just a little bit until I went to the ped mall to meet up with Kaitlyn.
We hung out in the Tobacco Bowl for a little bit having some cigarettes, and I finally had one of those Camel Crush's...wasn't that great.
We eventually went over to Kaitlyn's place to hang out there, and smoke. It was good because I hadn't seen her new place yet, and it's a nice place. We relaxed there, I played a game of beer pong, had a cigarette with Kaitlyn on her patio, and a little later I left so I could go do my radio show.
I called up Keaschall to tell him about the show, and he ended up rocking the show over the internet while him and Blocko were just hanging out.
I finished the show, and then went back over to Sahaj's, but we didn't really do much, and I left a bit later.

Saturday I got up around 4:30 in the afternoon, hung out in my room watching tv, and then eventually went over to Sahaj's to meet up with Josh, and Sahaj to watch Pineapple Express.
We enjoyed quite a bit of charlemagne, watched a lot of random stuff, including a little bit of Bad Boys II, and eventually I headed off for the night.
Before I left for the night I went over to Kyle/Trevor's to see how their party was going because they were making quite a bit of noise.
Their party looked kind of lame actually so I didn't stay long.
When I got back to my room I just started writing stuff in my screenplay while periodically pressing the button.
I took breaks every now and again to have some cigarettes.
I finished writing what I wanted to, left my computer on, went to bed, and every 108 minutes would be woken up by the steady beep that was letting me know I should press the button, which I did.

Sunday I woke up for good around 4:30, hung out in my room, and around 6:30 went over to Sahaj's while enuring the strong winds, and cold temperatures.
I got to Sahaj's, relaxed there for a bit, watched some tv, enjoyed some charlemagne, and then around 7:30 we went over to Hamburg to get some dinner.
Wei showed up a little later, and once we'd finished eating an amazing meal we went outside to greeted by snow...yeah we were getting snow. The snow wasn't sticking, but it was still kind of cool. We went to John's Grocery to pick up some stuff, then went to Sahaj's to hang out, and watch some of the Phillies game. We also watched Home Alone also, which was fun because I haven't seen that in a while, and it was good to watch.
After Home Alone I headed off to my dorm in the cold, windy weather.
I got back to my dorm, and hung out there doing this update...an update that has taken quite some time to do, and now I'm finally done with it.

Wow, yeah I'm almost positive nobody is going to read this whole thing, but hey I don't really care. I'm just glad that I finally got this done with.



The swan...
