Green With Envy...

Update for Thursday July 31st - Thursday August 7th

Yeah, the cutest kitten on the face of the planet.
Enjoy.

Thursday I finished up my update and then just drove around for a while listening to music.
A little later I got a call from my mom who was telling me that Immersion (a laid-back worship service at Hope) was going to start in about 10 minutes so I should probably go check it out.
My mom didn't think I should probably check it out because this is the second week in a row that she's suggested that I go so I kind of figured she wanted me to go so I figured I might as well go.
It was interesting having Immersion in the new, big Sanctuary, and it was really nice. The additions to the church have made such a drastic change to how I'd always known it that it just feels weird being in there sometimes...especially like during Easter of this year, which was the first time I'd been in the church in a while. The construction was about 85% done, and I really wasn't too into it I have to admit.
I mean my family was I think the 100th family to join when they were basically first starting out, and now the church has expanded so much to the point that it sometimes doesn't feel like a church...I guess that sounds pretty odd.
Anyway I left Immersion, and then headed over to Chris's to meet up with him.
I got there, we hung out there for a little bit, and then drove over to B-Dubs to get some wings.
Kevin was there with a few other people so we joined them, and enjoyed some wings.
Once we were done at B-Dubs we went back to Chris's house to create a mix to rock with the Essence.
Chris's mom had bought him a whole pack of different colored sharpies so he went ape shit with the design for the cd, and it was awesome.
We rocked the cd, enjoyed the Essence, hung out for a little bit more, and I headed out around 3, which was really good considering I had to open up the store the next day, but I didn't really care about that.

Friday I had to go in to open the store, which I wasn't too pissed about so I hopped in my car, and headed to work.
The drive to work was fine, but once I got to work, and got out of my car I heard this low hissing noise and what looked to me like steam coming out from underneath the hood.
I freaked out, popped my hood, and took a look.
Once I'd opened the hood a little bit of steam came out, dissipated, and then I looked through my engine to the ground and saw a brownish looking liquid (fresh...like from my car) underneath the car.
I freaked out even more, but tried not to let it bug me while I was at work because that would make the minutes turn into hours.
I went in the store, opened everything partially, grabbed the bank deposit, and headed off to the bank to bring in the deposit.
I got in, and out of the bank pretty quick, which was nice, hopped in my car, hoped it wouldn't screw up while going back to the store, and once I got back I opened up the store completely.
While I was working I tried to occupy my mind to try to not think about my car, and once Bryan showed up that was easy because I had someone to talk to finally.
Anyway, work went by pretty quick, and Bryan let me go early so I could bring my car in to Premiere to get it checked out.
I managed to get my car to Premiere, and from there I had them do a pressure check on my car to check for leaks, which basically had to be done.
The check didn't take that long, and the guy working on my car came in to the office to tell me that I'd need a new lower hose for my radiator because thats what was leaking.
They weren't able to do it that day so I had to leave my car there overnight, and would have to come get it the next day.
They also told me that with labor, parts, and all that stuff the total cost was going to be about $130, which was really annoying. I mean I had the money, but I really it was just an annoyance.
My dad was there too so that was good because he was able to give me a ride home.
Since I was without a car for the night I didn't have much to do, and not a lot of options so I just stayed in for a while.
I watched Two And A Half Men, which I've actually started to enjoy. Well "enjoy" is taking things a little too far...I'm just not as dissapointed now when it's on tv, and it's pretty funny on occasion.
Anyway I watched that, and while doing so got the inspiration from Charlie Sheen's constant debauchery, and his amazingly chauvinistic personality...

Oh yeah, and I wasn't just watching 2 1/2 Men, because I was also watching Abbey Brooks do what she does best.
I got a call from Kaitlyn, and a little later she was headed over to pick me up due to the fact that my car was unavailable.
Kaitlyn picked me up, and from there we drove over to the store so I could pick up a couple things from Blockbuster that Keaschman had rented (and forgot to bring back), and one of them I really wanted to check out.
It was a movie called "He Was a Quiet Man" starring Christian Slater, Elisha Cuthbert, and William H. Macy.
I was hoping, and I mean really hoping that for once I could just hang out with Kaitlyn...just Kaitlyn...not with Salem, or this nick kid, or Barrent, or Julie, or Judy, or Ryan...just Kaitlyn.
But did that happen.
What the fuck do you think?
Yeah, we ended up hanging out with a few of them, which was fucking amazing.
Dammit, this is getting really fucking weak, really fucking fast.
And it gets even better...this was Kaitlyn's last night in town because the very next morning she was going to hop on a plane, fly to Boston to visit a friend, and then on Thursday she's supposed to come back for ONE DAY, and then she moves back to Iowa City...FUCKING RAD.
SO anyway here's what I was hoping could have been my Friday night.
Hang out with Kaitlyn.
Get some dinner with Kaitlyn.
Smoke with Kaitlyn.
Watch "He Was a Quiet Man" with Kaitlyn.
Yeah, some of that happened, but she was constantly getting texts and calls from people that wanted to hang out that night so it was almost like they were all there.
Here's what I did do on my Friday night off.
Kaitlyn came to get me, we went to the store, I grabbed Keaschman's rentals, talked with Chris a little, and then we went to Z'Marik's to get some dinner.
Z'Marik's was delicious like it always, and once we left there we went to go pick up this Nick kid from his place.
It didn't stop there because once we got Nick, we drove around a little then went to go pick up this girl Julie who along with Nick I had met a few nights prior.
We got Julie, drove around a little, and then went back to Nick's place to grab a cd.
This train is far from stopping because once we got the cd we drove over to Julie's house so she could grab some things, and while we were there Elizabeth came over (because she lives really close), but Elizabeth and Salem ended up blowing us off so screw them.
Julie got what she needed, and then we went to Racoon River to meet up with this kid named Ryan who apparently went to Valley with Kaitlyn, Julie, and Nick.
We hung out there for a while, took a drive to Hy-Vee, and then went back to Julie's house to hang out there for a while.
During the entire first 10 minutes of me being at this girls house I was subjected to an onslaught of country music, which apparently Julie LOVES now so that made the night that much better.
I know right?
HAHAHAHAHAHA, fuck you.
So we hung out at Julie's place for a bit, while all the girls took time to reminisce about Valley, and I just sat there...I felt completely out of place.
We ended up leaving around 12:30, and Kaitlyn obviously knew that I really didn't have a good time.
I mean she knows I like her, and that I like to spend time with her, but she could really tell that I didn't have fun at this girl Julie's house.
Kaitlyn even earlier in the night was saying how she was a little annoyed too that we weren't getting any time together, which was good to hear.
Kaitlyn dropped me off, and a little after that I realized Keaschman's rentals were still in Kaitlyn's car so I called her up so she could come back.
She came back, I grabbed the movie & video game from her, gave her a nice long kiss, and ended with telling her that we need more alone time.
I went inside, made myself a little bite to eat, watched a little bit of Reno 911, and then tried to watch "He Was a Quiet Man", but I was really tired so I started to drift off quite a bit, and came to the conclusion that I'd just watch the movie some other time.

Saturday I got up, hung out at home, and once my car was done being worked on my Dad drove me down to Premiere, and on the way he told me that him and my mom were going to foot the bill for my car, which was amazing to hear.
I know though that it was something that my mom talked him into.
I got my car, thanked my dad a few times, and then went to work.
Work was pretty good, even though I had to work with David, but oh well.
I left work, and drove over to Chris's house to meet up with him and Abbi who was pretty much just back from her trip to Colorado.
We played a few song on RockBand, and enjoyed some of the Essence...well I guess they enjoyed it.
I didn't...at first, but then once it took over I felt a little bit better.
I was just thinking about how I get to spend virtually NO time alone with Kaitlyn, and then got to see Abbi & Chris being close like usual, which I can't complain about because they're dating, but in all honestly it made me really envious.
We rocked some music, and the Essence, then went to the basement to watch Cabin Fever, which was good because I haven't seen it in a while and seeing it again reminded me of how good it is so now I'll have to go pick up a copy for myself, and watch it with Kaitlyn because I'm pretty sure she hasn't seen it yet.
So after the movie was over I pretty much headed off for the night.
I went to get some gas, drove around for a bit, and a little later realized I needed a new pack of cigarettes so I drove over to the Kum & Go on 60th street to get some.
Once I got my cigarettes I drove around for maybe another hour and a half just listening to music, smoked a few cigarettes, and just took some time to clear my head.

Sunday I got up around 12:30, and once I did I got ready for the day, packed up a few things, and then left for Iowa City.
Before I left for IA City I dropped off Keaschall's things at Blockbuster, got some Arby's, and then hopped on the interstate.
The drive went by pretty quickly actually so that was good, and I got in to Coralville around 2:50.
I drove over to Dan's new place, and hung out there for a while.
We enjoyed the Essence a little bit, played some of the newest Tony Hawk game...Proving Grounds I think, and once we were bored with playing that we went to get some dinner.
We went to this place called "Texas Roadhouse", and there was a small wait so we figured we'd stick around.
This place was very odd, and interesting because of the people that were there.
There were quite a few Asians, which I found pretty interesting, and to my surprise I didn't see a single Big Dog shirt.
The food was amazing, and once we left there we drove around a bit, stopped by Ben AKA Crowmaster's house, hung out there for a little bit, drove over to Joe's house to see him.
We got to Joe's, and apparently he was playing Risk with Zane and two other people.
Dan, and I just watched for a while, and once it got to be really boring just watching people play Risk we went over to Tori's to pick her up.
We got Tori, she showed me her new place, and then we went to Dan's to hang out.
At Dan's his roommate was playing some weird ass video game with some dude with a couple of missing teeth, which was fairly interesting.
We hung out there, and eventually watched Back To The Future Part II because Tori wanted to for some reason, and she actually passed out asleep halfway through it.
Myself, Dan, his roommate, and Joe...I think, watched the rest of the movie, and then Dan & I played some FarCry, which was pretty sweet because I haven't played that in quite some time.
We enjoyed some of the Essence, we enjoyed some Charlemagne, and after that everyone went to bed.

Monday I got up around 10, hung out at Dan's, enjoyed some Charlemagne, played some Tony Hawk, and then went over to Tori's place.
We had some down time at Tori's, and then drove downtown because Tori wanted to go to Gamer's, plus so did Dan because he was going to get Tori to buy him a copy of Dead Rising because he misplaced his original copy, but Tori loves that game too so she was fine with buying it.
We walked around a bit outside where it was absurdly hot, and I found out something pretty fucking lame...
House of Aromas got closed down.
The place I went so much since I started going to Iowa tanked, and now I will no longer get to go there...rad.
We walked around some more under the hot sun, and then we hopped in Tori's car so Tori could drop off Dan at school because he's taking a summer class at Kirkwood.
Tori, and I went back to her place and I just relaxed there, almost fell asleep, and around 3:45 we left to go get Dan from class.
Once we got Dan we went to Panera to get something to eat, and I had not had anything all day so I needed some food because I was basically zapped of energy.
After we got our food we went back to Tori's, I hopped in my car, and headed off to DM.
I got back in around 8, and stopped by the store to have a cigarette with Chris.
I left for my house, and once I got home I got in the shower because over the course of the day, and the previous day I felt really gross because it had been so humid and I'd been all sweaty and gross.
The shower felt amazing, and once I was fresh and clean I watched Fear finally.
I've never seen that movie all the way through (like with The Jackal), and it was good to see because seeing Mark Wahlberg going psycho is awesome.
I hung out at home, hung out online, and a little later in the night got pretty freaked out by a storm that pretty much just popped up right over DM.
There was some hail so that always is a little freaky.
Anyway the storm passed, and not too long after that I headed off to bed.

Tuesday I woke up early, and enjoyed some of the Essence on my way to work. I got to work, opened up the store partially like always, and then took the deposit to the bank.
At the bank there's this lady that works there that doesn't exaclty look like Tory Lane, but for some reason whenever I look at her I'm reminded of Tory Lane...

I mean let's face it, I'm obsessed with her, but if I ever met her I'd probably be insanely nervous...or myabe not, who knows...well I doubt I'll ever even meet her so whatever.
I left the bank, enjoyed some of the Essence, and then came back to the store to open it up completely.
I hung out at the store alone until Chris showed up.
I was just reading really old posts, which was really interesting, and one of the reasons why I do this.
Chris showed up, and that made the rest of the time at the store go by pretty fast so that was good.
I left the store, and from there I went home, had some dinner, and then hung out at home until around 10.
I went over to meet up with Benoit, and then I went to Buffalo Wild Wings to meet up with Kevin and a few other people.
I had some wings, and a little beer, had a couple cigarettes, and around midnight I headed home. I got home, hung out there, and didn't really do much the rest of the night.

Wednesday I got up a little early, and went in to work. Work was alright even though I had to do shipment, but oh well it's never usually that bad.
I got out of the store around 5:20, drove around a little, and then once I got the call from Abbi I headed over to her place. I stopped to get gas before, and then hopped on the interstate.
I got to Abbi's, and hung out there for a while with Chris, Abbi, Abbi's friend, and Abbi's mom.
It was fun, we enjoyed some of the Essence and around 8 we headed off to Century.
I got to Century, hit the bathroom, and then met up with Chris & Abbi.
They got in line to get their tickets and I went in to get some seats.
I was the first one in there, and managed to get some amazing seats.
Chris & Abbi got their tickets, came in, and then we all enjoyed some amazing work by Seth Rogen called Pineapple Express.
I think it was pretty good. It was funny, well written, and just an overall play on the 80's style buddy comedy, which was really cool to see especially set in the present time.
We got out of the movie, and then headed over to Chris's to enjoy some of the Essence, but that didn't happen...at first because Chris was having car trouble that was pissing him off quite a bit, and for good reason because car troubles are really annoying.
We hung out outside, and eventually headed off to enjoy the Essence finally while rocking some very good music.
We had some cigarettes, and Chris wasn't feeling to good so I drove on home.
I was going to stop by Wal-Mart, but instead I just went home, hung out there, had some food, hung out online a little, and then went to bed.

Thursday (today) I got up, hung out at home a little, and then around 12:30 I drove over to get some coffee. I got my coffee, hung out online a little, and then did this update.
Now I'm done with that update.
I don't know what I'll be doing tonight, but hopefully I can get to hang out with Kaitlyn before she moves back to Iowa City.
