Update for Friday April 11th - Monday April 21stth

Friday after I finished the update I hung out in my room, played some Saints Row while rockings come Daft Punk, and then once Dan was done at work he stopped by to get me, and Jarrod. We were wanting to get some beers for the night so we went to Hy-Vee so I could grab a 12-pack of tall Coors Lights for me & Dan, and also some 1445 for Jarrod. We went to Dan's hung out, watched some TV, drank some beers, and then eventually moved into Dan's room where he has his PS2 so we could play some Budakai Tenkaichi. We didn't just go to Dan's room to play BT, but we also went in there because Eric had some friends over from Chicago, and we didn't really want to be around them so we retreated to Dan's room. Eventually we ordered some pizzas that were delicious, and while we were eating we watched some of the Strangers With Candy movie, which is hilariously amazing. About 1/4 through the movie we were all getting pretty tired so I crashed on the couch, and Jarrod crashed on the recliner.
Saturday I got up, fell back to sleep, woke up again, played some Terrorist Hunt with Dan & Jarrod, and eventually we took a drive to downtown to get some lunch at Quinton's. Dan bought me my sandwich because I bought him pizza the other night, and so that was cool. The meal was great, and then afterwards Dan dropped us off at our building. I went to my room to drop some stuff off, and then I went to get something to eat with Jarrod in Burge right after that. Since I just had a meal I didn't get anything big at all, I only got a waffle, and only ate half of it because I wanted something sweet. I went back to my room after the meal, hung out there for a while, played some Saints Row, hung out with some of the guys on my floor, and then eventually once Dan was done at work he came by to pick up Jarrod and myself. We went over to Dan's, hung out there, played some Terrorist Hunt, watched some television, and that really is about it. Dan dropped us back off at our building, and I went to my room, hung out there, and eventually went to bed.
Sunday I got up, worked on some of my spanish homework, and I really did just say in my dorm all day. I worked on homework, read stuff, and wasted time also
Monday I got up, went to my film theory class, hung out in the AJB, went to my Alt. Forms class, and then went to get some Burge before my sexual ethics lecture. The lecture wasn't that bad, and I definitely dozed off a little too, but oh well. I came back to my dorm, hung out in my room, worked on a couple things for my spanish class, skipped dinner, and when it came time I went to my spanish class. The class wasn't too bad, and afterwards I came back to my dorm and hung out in my room playing Saints Row until I had to go do my radio show...
The show went alright, and once I left there I just came back to my dorm to sleep.
Tuesday I got up, hung out in my room, attempted to be productive, and it actually worked a little bit too so that was nice. I hung out in Sahaj's room for a while, and then when it came time I went down to the Picador to see Jeff's band The Effects in concert. I got there, and apparently they were the headliner and wouldn't be on until around 11 so I went back to my dorm, and then went to Sahaj's room to watch the latest Human Giant. The new Human Giant wasn't that bad, but it wasn't anything amazing either. Around 11 I went back to the Picador to see the show, and it was pretty good even though there really weren't that many people in attendance, but I mean come on it was a late night show on a Tuesday night. I came back to my dorm, hung out online a little, and then headed off to bed.
Wednesday I got up, went to my film theory class, hung out in the AJB like usual, went to my Alt. Forms class, and class was actually pretty sweet because these guys came in to speak to us about self distribution because they're currently touring the countries universities playing their film at local theatres. It was fun to hear from them, and once that was all over with I grabbed some lunch from Burge then went to my sexual ethics lecture. The lecture went by faster than usual, and following the class I hung out in my room for a little playing Saints Row until I had to go to my film theory screening of the week. This week we were screening Gerry by Gus Van Sant, and it was a decent film. It was a little slow, and parts of it were a little annoying, but overall it was nice. I came back to my dorm, and hung out on the floor for a while. I really wanted to shave my beard, but couldn't think of any funny/absurd facial hair that I could shave, and soon enough Matt gave me the idea to shave my beard to look like Lemmy's (from Motorhead) beard so I shaved it, and this is how it looked...
It looks so bad, and I couldn't take myself seriously at all, but I told myself I'd keep it for a full day because thats what I've done with all the weird beards I've had. I only do this to get a laugh out of people, and this one definitely worked. I watched the new South Park which was pretty good, and then hung out in my room for the rest of the night.
Thursday I got up, hung out in my room, and around 3:30 I caught the bus down to the Old Capitol Mall so I could walk the rest of the way to the House of Aromas. I got my coffee, hung out online a little, listened to some music, and worked on a bit of homework too. I left, went to my spanish class, and it wasn't that bad, but we didn't really have anything to do but review stuff, and since our professor sucks I probably shouldn't have even attended, but I saw my professor at the House of Aromas when I was there so since she saw me I couldn't just no show up to class. Also my beard was really well recieved by everyone I'd seen during the day so that was interesting, and made me decide to keep it for another day. I left my class, went back to my dorm, hung out there for a while, and then went to hang out in Rush's room for a while while he played a whole bunch of Burnout 3, I played a bit too and I have to say it was pretty fun. Damico finally came back so that was good to get to see him once again. Another crazy thing about the night is that Mike aka Boner Boy (a kid on our floor) came back to his dorm around 2 in the morning just absolultely BAWLING his eyes out because he got a PAULA, it was actually kind of funny, and when I say he was bawling I mean it. Eventually me, Rush, and Sahaj moved our little get together from Rush's room to Josh's room. We hung out there while Josh wrote a paper. We all stayed up the whole night just hanging out in Josh & Ernie's room. In the morning we went to get some breakfast.
Friday morning around 7:30 me, Rush, Sahaj, and Josh went to get some breakfast from Burge. Breakfast went by pretty fast, and so I just hung out in my room until I had to go to my first class of the day. I did doze off a little while I was in class so since this was my third Friday in a row without sleep I'd finally had a routine down...
1. Make it through the first class
2. Go to the IMU to get a Rockstar
3. Drink (not chug) the Rockstar, and actually enjoy it, but also get some energy.
So I did that, then went to my sexual ethics discussion. The discussion went pretty well, and I found out how to stop a Pro-Life Activist in their tracks...

Anyways I left class, came back to my dorm, hung out there for a while, worked on the proposal I had to make about my final paper for my film theory class, which went by pretty fast, and wasn't that hard to do. Once I was finished Dan called me up to see what I was up to because he was done with work around4pm. Dan came over to get me, and we went over to his place to smoke a little, and we also played a lot of Terrorist Hunt like usual. Also we played piece hunt too because apparently Eric hid everyhing because his parents had come by. Dan, and I left to get some dinner around 6, and weren't sure where we wanted to go so we just drove to Coralville to see what we could find there. We were getting off the interstate, and saw on the right a place called "Texas Roadhouse", and we both instantly thought it was worth a shot so we stopped by there. It looked pretty packed so it wasn't looking like we'd be able to get a table, and on the way in I realized just how amazing my Lemmy beard was going to be in that restaurant because it was just so ridiculously redneck looking.
Why hadn't you shaved it?
Well for one I'm just lazy, but also since it was so well recieved by people I decided I'd just keep it a little longer.
I mean that beard was just absurd so I wanted as many people as possible to be able to see it.
We got in, and found out it'd be a really long time to get a table so we said fuck it, and decided to go to HuHot instead.
HuHot was really good, the food was really good like always, and afterwards we went back to Dan's to hang out a little with Eric. Eventually we went to Hy-Vee to pick up some beers, and then it was back to Dan's to drink.
We drank a bit, smoked a bit too, and once The Boondock Saints came on tv we decided that it really wasn't worth it to watch censored on tv so we watched the DVD.
Saturday I got up early because Dan had to be at work early, which wasn't that bad. I came back to my dorm, hung out in my room a little, and then decided to take a nap, which ended up not being a nap but just a nice long sleep. I started my nap around 11:30am, and woke up around 5pm. I hung out in my dorm, and hung out in Rush's room for a while too. Eventually I got a call from Dan who wanted to see if I wanted to hang out, which I did so he headed over to get me, and we went to his place to hang out, and celebrate a little early the upcoming holiday. We played some We Love Katamari or whatever, then went to Hy-Vee after a little to get some cinnamon rolls. We came back to Dan's, made the cinnamon rolls, and started up some Terrorist Hunt. Dan dropped me off at my dorm, and I was still wanting to do stuff before the night was over so I called up Sahaj to see what him, and everyone else was up to. Sahaj told me where they were so I headed over, had a few beers with them (Rush, Sahaj, Kyle Lyle Larry, Josh, Ernie, Damico, and my roommate was there too), and a little later we left.
BUT, before we left we were hanging out in front of the house, and we saw two people making out on the front porch, it kind of looked like a guy and a girl so it wasn't that odd, but when they were done we were shocked to see that it was two guys.
I was the most shocked out of everyone because one of the guys was a kid I've known since elementary school.
I hadn't really talked to him in maybe 6 or 7 years so it was a little akward. I knew he was gay, but I'd never witnessed it. After the kid had regrouped himself I called out to him, and once he found out who was calling his name he did a little fairy walk (really it was a light footed fairy walk, no joke) down to me. We didn't talk that long, and it was a little akward so I ended the small conversation by going inside to get one last beer.
We left (we being Josh, Rush, myself, and Damico), and had an interesting walk back what with Rush throwing a full shook up beer can at some cars. But not just that, he was growling at people, and bit Josh a few times...the guy was shit tossed. We went to the Handi-Mart to get some things, and then came back to Josh's dorm to hang out for a while.
Sunday I got up, and instantly started working on my Alt. Forms speech that I had to give the very next day. A 20 minute speech that I hadn't really prepared for at all. I worked on it for a while, and then went down to Sahaj's room for a little to take a break and ended up going to Hamburg Inn with Josh, Sahaj, and Rush to get some dinner. I was a really good meal, we came back to our building, I went to finish up a few more things for the speech, and also different evaluation things for the same class. I finished up all my stuff, and then headed off to this girls place with Josh, Sahaj, and Rush so we could go celebrate some more of the holiday at hand. We stopped by the L&M to get a couple of things, and then continued on to our destination. We got to the girls place, hung out there for a while, celebrated, listened to a lot of really good music, told a lot of funny stories, and just in general had a really good time. We left around 1:30am, went to Kum&Go, and then continued on back to the dorm, stopped by Milio's then finally got back to Josh's dorm to eat the food we'd all bought. Around 2:30am I went back to my room, hung out online a little, looked up a few things like my newest favorite artist "Girl Talk" from Pittsburgh, PA. Check that stuff out, it's pretty sweet.
Monday (today) I got up, went to my first class, and afterwards I went to the AJB student commons area to work on a few things for my Alt. Forms class, then took a walk over to the Library to e-mail some things to Deon for my Alt. Forms class also. By the time I was all done with everything I had to walk over to the BCS building to go to my Alt. Forms class. I did my speech, and just sat through the rest of class waiting to leave. I left class, went to the radio station really quick, and then went to Burge to get some lunch before going to my sexual ethics lecture. The lecture wasn't too bad, and once I got out I went to Josh's room to get the Girl Talk cd's from him, and then hung out in my room until I went to get some dinner with a few of the guys on my floor. Dinner wasn't that bad, and once I was done I gave Sahaj the Girl Talk cds and then went to my spanish class. Spanish wasn't really that bad at all, and I was able to leave early so that was cool. I left, went to the Handi-Mart to get myself a Monster Mixxd, and came back to my dorm. I hung out in Matt & Dan's room a little before coming back to my room to do this update. I took a little break in the middle because I've had a lot to type out so I went to Sahaj's room, went to Josh's room, ninja'd my way in, scared the shit out of Josh, got myself a drink, and now I'm back in my room finishing the update finally. I still have my Lemmy beard, but thats just because I've been too lazy to go shave it so now I'm going to go get rid of it finally.
