Various Morning Notes
* Baby Dik Dik antelopes are made of adorable. You may want to keep that until I'm done going through the morning's news, though.
* Also, note to self, throw out the old milk, you know you're liable to not really notice the milk has gone bad until it goes cottage-like at impact with hot water. (I threw out the coffee. This time. I have a Record.)
* So last night when I went to sleep the headline was our eighth dead Palestinian since Pillar Of Cloud. This morning the headline was that the Erithrean man broke into a family's house in an attempted burglary, and of course it had to be called out that the eight-year-old visibly-uninjured daughter was taken to the hospital to rule out sexual assault. (Mom was stabbed. Dad strangled him with a phone cord.) (Haaretz, Hebrew, not paylocked; Ynet aren't offering English, and I'll spare y'all the xenophobic incitement of their Hebrew.)
* The Police, for their part, are very: "Yeah, they can't get jobs, what did you think would happen?"
* Knesset members Tamar Zandberg and Stav Shapir decided to join the Western Wall Women's Protest. Shapir continues to sound like an idiot, Zandberg continues to be cool, and for the first time in months no women were detained by police after attempted to approach the Wall wearing a talit. (Haazert, Hebrew, not pay-locked.)
* Today is full summer hot. I'm in a skirt (albeit the long wraparound) and short sleeves. Okay, so if it was full summer hot, I'd be in about 1/3 as much fabric, but the cinderblocks didn't have time to absorb heat yet. Give it a couple months, we'll get there. Also the light isn't stabbing yet.
