Having escaped from his apartment somehow, Ed's now wandering around, looking at the stuff and people he no longer remembers with a concerned bronze firelizard playing supervisor.
Shader was looking for an Aion. Specifically, *her* Aion, since he had been late for dinner. What she finds is an Aion with horns, a few decades younger than he's supposed to be, and a little boy with blond hair and the biggest gold eyes she'd ever seen--he looked a lot like 'her' Ed, only teeny and kidshaped. "Are you guys alternates, or--oh!" She recognized the little dragon-lizard. "Did you get lolled?"
"You don't remember anything?" Shader said. She looked at Aion. Yep, that was her Aion. "What about you?"
"I have my memories," Aion said. "I also have a headache."
Shader nodded. "It's going to get worse; you were late for dinner. It was really good, too." She turned back to Ed. "I think I saw a play ground around here--want to check it out with me, kiddo?"
Ed shakes his head. "Nuh-uh. Last thing I remember was making plans with Al and Winry. Next thing I knew, I was here with someone else. Got told that I ate something I shouldn't have."
Shader tilted her head. "Humans usually call people like me and Aion devils." She was reasonably confident that the child-sized version of Ed wouldn't panic any more than the grown up version had. "Because we aren't like them, are usually stronger, faster and more powerful than they are, and that's usually scary to most kinds of people."
Shader giggled. The look on Aion's face was indescribable. The expression turned to consideration when she very clearly thought *go home and get some painkillers. come back with a camera,* at him.
"What's your basis for comparison?" She asked. "The play ground was over this way, the last time I came through here." She moved forward a couple paces, glancing back to make sure the kid was following.
"But cat ears and tail are less weird than a spine-tail, wings, pointy ears and horns?" Poor Aion. Though, it might also have been the armor--Shader was wearing cut-offs and a black tee-shirt with the words I'm Blogging This in pink--relatively normal clothes--thought didn't Ed say that his world was the equivalent to Earth in the 1920s?
"Heh. He can look pretty human when he wants to though. The horns must be freaking him out." The playground was a little closer and little bigger than she remembered from the last time she'd seen it. There were seesaws, merry-go-rounds, swings, jungle gyms, a straight slide and a twisty one.
"He got lolled too," Shader said. "He took his horns off and now they're back, and making his head hurt. It must be like radio static in his head right now. I think he would have liked being a little kid, better. See anything you want to go on first?"
Shader watches Ed play, and takes notes--this was after all, her first experience with the 'lol' phenomena. She hoped Aion showed up soon with the camera.

He nods and tilts his head. "...What are you?"

Ed goes round-eyed. "You're what?! But you don't look all weird like he does!"

Ed follows her. "Other humans. Not that any I've met have cat parts..."

Ed nods.
Maes is currently flying in lazy circles around them.

Ed looks blank. "Why would they be? They're his, aren't they?"
He perks up at the sight of the playground.

"Oh." Ed looks around then makes a beeline for the twisty slide.

After he's had enough of the slide, Ed zips over to one of the jungle gyms and starts climbing all over it.
