Murray: Item 4 on the agenda: Stuff you!*

First of all, in somewhat exciting news, I'm going to be in my first horse show this weekend! woo. It's just a schooling show, and I'm only doing the dressage training test 1, but I'm, well, totally excited and nervous. eeeee. I asked to ride Skittles because he's a big puppy dog of a horse and trots and canters for me with hardly any problems, and he's so big he's like a cadillac, lol. But he and I need to work on the halt because he skittles to the side. heh.

I was receiving some pressure from a friend of mine to get caught up on Lost, so I motored through nearly all of the episodes this weekend, with just one more (and this week's) to go. I don't really have much to say other than I'm enjoying it.

--I'm tickled pink each time we see Sawyer with his glasses.
--Sun continues to be awesome.
--I've long since lost whatever affection I had for Jack Sheppard ages ago, so I'm relieved he's not taking an active role at this time. Unlike Kate I do not miss the old Jack.
--I'm weirded out by Sawyer/Juliet.
--Totally digging the male/male tension on this show. Jack/Sawyer, Sayid/Jack, Sayid/Sawyer. Not necessarily as pairings, but the dynamic that runs through these characters keep me riveted in their scenes.
--Where the fuck are Rose and Bernard and the rest of the gang?
--Can't help it, but I love Richard Alpert. Who is he? What is he? I'm fascinated.
--Ben is creepy at any age.
--I would never have forgiven this show if they had killed Penny. I'm just saying.
--I'm just going to come out and say it, I'm not a big fan of John Locke. I think he's a weak man, and dangerous, and the only thing that makes him better than Ben is that he's not sociopathic and he's perpetually in the dark which makes him dependent on others even if he hates that. Now he's come back from the dead. Oh great.
--So, the island's Egyptian? That temple looks like The Mummy Ride at Universal Studios.
--Time travel? Sure. Electro-magnetic whosiwhatsit? No problem. Four-toed immense statues, egyptian hieroglyphics, unaging handsome well-dressed men? I'm with ya. Ticky smoke monster guardian/killer/defense system whatever with convenient image and replay abilities? um, you lost me, no pun intended. There better be some kind of plausible explanation for that thing.
--Oh lord, it's Deadwood's very own E.B. Farnum!
--I keep thinking that this is the mess people get themselves into when they start time traveling without the Doctor.

I am not going to comment on last night's episode of 24, which for the most part was pretty good and didn't answer anything and only made things look worse, good golly, except to say that all this makes the multi-part epic Jack/Tony angst-and-love-a-thon that lives in my head just that much harder to work out. Thanks, show! Kisses right back at ya.

Still no news on my new job. I cannot wait till I don't have to answer questions all day long.

*Murray: Okay, band meeting. Ahh well, Jemaine?
Jemaine: Present.
Murray: Who else we got here? Bret?
Bret: Yep.
Murray: And who else? Mur.. Ray... Oh. Greg's written this, he's put the R's too far apart. It's Murray.. Murray present.

Murray: Bret, could you get a pencil out of my stationary cabinet, please?
Bret: Where's that?
Murray: Just the glove box.

24, lost, horseback riding
