pity me for I am a sad woeful creature

I'm sick. I suspect with the flu. Fever, aches, cough, congestion. bah. Yesterday, I should have stayed home from work, I knew I was sick in the morning, but I went in anyway, because I'm a doofus, and by the end of the day I was dizzy. Did I go home then? No, because I had plans with my mother, which I should have canceled not only because I wasn't feeling well (although I felt well enough for dinner and a movie) but then she and I proceed to argue. haha. But that's not all.

So, instead of going home, or staying home to begin with, I don't come home from work until around 11pm, and what do I find? My roof leaking. In my room (only). On my computer. Right now it won't turn on, or actually it wouldn't turn on last night, which when I tried to turn it on was before I realized how wet it had gotten, but I've set it aside to dry as best as possible. They say 48 hours. :( My roommate was home but she doesn't go into my room so she didn't notice until about 1/2 hour before I got there. She called the landlord, but there's not much one can do at 11pm.

Tell me the worst. Is it dead? It was not wet under the keyboard, but it certainly leaked water from the battery port once I took the battery off. Luckily I backed it all up not that long ago, and recently stopped using my computer hd as my main hd, and what's new on it is easily replaced.

But its my buddy. And, you know, I'll have to buy a new one and that's gonna bite. I should have stayed home! Let that be a lesson. *pout*

I have an appointment with the doctors this morning.
