seeking movie recommendations: films with both present day and past storylines

This is for a class assignment. Does anyone know of or recommend any films that weave back and forth between a modern day story (probably the A story line) and the past? So far I have Possession and The Weight of Water.

Any others? I also know of two plays, Arcadia, by Tom Stoppard, and An Experiment with an Air Pump by Shelagh Stevenson.

But there has to be others! Preferably films, but I'm interested in plays and books, too. help?
