Turns out that the brother of my dad’s friend Chris works at Whataburger late at night as a manager. So every now and then when I stop by to grab some grub we chat up for a little. Well Sean Fights Jack came up in conversation, and when I mentioned I was trying to borrow a good camera from Jamie’s sister, he offered to let me borrow his if need be. So I came by the next night and he had his 8mm Sharp with him. I checked it out.
The first two things I checked to make sure of were that the camera could film at nighttime, and had a decent microphone, as our original film camera lacks both. Well, his sharp films at night and has great sound quality. 8mm tapes will have to be transferred to file by a third party, and then edited, but that’s not a problem.
And so with the camera we needed, Sean Fights Jack will be in production by the end of January just as soon as I work out a few more things in the script, and do some more location scouting for some shots.
I’m super excited. We’ll be wrap up any last minute shooting on February 24th, and I’ll begin editing as soon as I can get the tapes transferred to file.
I'm so stoked.
