Phantom!
Went to see Phantom of the Opera tonight! :-D :-D :-D
Man, it's been so long since I listened to that music, I forgot how much I love it. The sets were amazing, the staging and everything... and that's on the traveling production. The cast was great too, Andre and Firmin were especially great, very funny. Christine was good, the Phantom was AWESOME! Raoul annoyed me. Something about his enunciation bugged me. And it's not like a "hey, he doesn't sound like my CD!" problem. His cadence didn't mesh with the rest of the singers. He was too... I dunno what I'm trying to say. Carlotta-esque, but not in a good way, not on purpose. But the show was wonderful. I teared up a little when the music started.
Anyway. It was awesome. Wicked is coming next year! I might get to see it in Chicago this October... but if I don't, I'll definitely see it here!
