Wow. And augh: a fascinating window into the Romulans and their long mad grief, and an even more fascinating backstory for Gaila. Thank you.

Thank you!

This is the third version of this particular story. The first/second drafts were actually entirely junked, though I really want to find something to do for T'Pring soon somehow. As it is, elanya and my love of the Rihannsu culture as depicted by Diane Duane meant I was going to look at them sooner or later! :D

You've done what I would have thought impossible-- made me cry for these Romunlans. Thank you.

Wow. That was gorgeous and painful, you've "humanized" Ayel in a wonderful way. I love the name for her and the way the last lines came together with it. Very lovely.

And I'm glad that you/they spared her; I've been worried about her.

I loved how Diane Duane interpreted the Romulans in her novels. This came about as an extension of that, with the proviso that regardless of anything else, they are all quite insane as it stands, due to what they've lived through and the one person they've always relied on just loosing it entirely.

It was fun to get into that mindset and write them. Not sure what that say about me, but there you go. XD

Oh, this was just... I don't have the words! How one child could lighten the souls of the damned, and they in turn remember love and mercy and grant it unto her. How utterly wonderful. I'm tearing up as I type. <3

I like to think that even when you lose everything (including sanity), some touchstones still get through to you. Thank you! =)

Oh, this is so so lovely.

Really, really amazing :) I've been on a somewhat crazed hunt to find fics about the Romulans and this was exactly the type of thing I was looking for. You did a fantastic job characterizing them.

Thank you.

Thank you! =)

And this is mostly elanya's fault, to be honest. She was looking for Romulan fics and I ended up reccing some of the Diane Duane novels at her, than I got back into those novels and... voila. XD
