~The heart that truly loves never forgets~
I watched him getting dressed. Black pants. White shirt on. I wonder where he would go early in this morning. 7.30 am. The clocks beside the bed gawking at me.
‘Oppa?’
Silence. He walks past me, ignoring me. He goes to the bookshelf to get his Rubik's cube. He puts it into his left pockets.
It was always like that. When that ‘things’ starts to kicks in, he’ll become somebody else.
‘Lady? Can you help me?’ he returns back to our bedroom with worries and lost expression written all over his face.
Lady? Why would he call me that when I’m his Hyun.
‘Why oppa?’ I asked him when I already know the reason of him coming back to me.
‘My pants… it keeps falling down.. and who are you calling Oppa?’ he whines like a five year old kid losing his precious little red car.
I walk towards him and pull him for a hug.
‘Lady, I want you to tie this pants, not you hugging me! I’m late for the meet up. She is waiting for me. Please hurry!!’ He pushed me away from him.
‘Okay Oppa. Hold on a little bit’.
I walk to the closet to search for his belt.
‘Here we go Oppa. You look handsome. By the way who is this girl that you want to meet so badly?’
‘Why would you want to know?’
I smile at him. And he eyes me suspiciously.
‘Nothing, Oppa. It’s just that you look so so handsome that I’m feeling jealous over that lucky girl’
He lets out a laugh. His signature laugh. With his cheekbones nearly popping out. Just like when he kissed me on the altar.
‘Hmm.. should I tell you? I’m afraid she would scold me. She wants this to be our secret’
‘Ooo really? Then, its okay, Oppa. I don’t want you to have to face her anger’
‘Well, I’m late. I should be going now. Bye-bye, lady’
‘And THANK YOU for your help!’ he shouts before I heard him closing the door.
I watched him from the balcony. I know he would be safe. He would always found his way back to me, to our home after he spends his whole day wandering around the town.
And when he comes back, he always complains that the girl never comes around to meet him.
It was always like that.

Five years before,
‘Mrs. Seohyun, I’m sorry for having to tell you this. After countless medical examinations being done, your husband is confirmed to suffer from anterograde amnesia. He might be constantly forgetting things, people. Just like what was happening to him before you came here with him. I’m so sorry, Seohyun-ssi’.
I nodded and smiled to the female doctor.
I found him sitting on the couch, with his Rubik's cube in his hands. My presents for him for his 45th birthday.
I know from that day onwards he’ll start to forget about me. About everything. But I won’t. Never.
A/N: well o well. This is short, I know. Anyway, I was inspired to write this because I happened to forget how to put on belts to my denims earlier this evening. *hides self under the blanket* AND I feel like my writing has become so BAD due to the long breaks. :’(
