Their life had been amazing, Sam and Quinn honestly were the perfect couple. Even during high school, people wished they had the love that Sam and Quinn did, wished they could experience their happiness. That had rough patches in their relationship though just like everyone, especially during junior year, but senior year they had connected again and realized they never stopped loving each other. They wanted a future together, wanted to be together forever. Quinn knew she couldn’t be without Sam because he was perfect.
It had been five years since they graduated from high school and their relationship was even stronger. Their love for each other just kept growing. Sam was amazing in every way. They had done and experienced so many things together. He would surprise her with random little gifts, something that might not mean anything to anyone else, but Quinn loved each and every single one. Loved their little picnics and just every single thing they did together, no matter how big or how small.
A year ago, they made it official and got married which was one of Quinn’s happiest days. It was perfection. She had walked down the aisle that day, smiling as she got closer and closer to her soon-to-be-husband. She adored the way he looked at her, telling her at the altar how beautiful she looked. Nothing could’ve been better. Her love for him would never change.
It was a cold night though, Quinn and Sam having just gotten out of one of their favorite restaurants, they were joking around in the car while at a stop sign, Quinn laughing at some joke that Sam said. She always laughed at his little jokes or smiled at his impressions, he always made her happy. It all came to a halt though when they got hit from behind, causing Quinn to lunge forward, her head hitting the dash of their car hard.
She had been out for about five hours and when she finally woke, she saw Sam standing down at the foot of her bed, Quinn giving him a confused look. “I uh..” The doctor walked in, explaining that she seemed fine and would be released soon. She looked at the doctor and then the man at the end of her bed. “Quinn.. do you know who this is?” The doctor asked and Quinn nodded, the doctor letting out a breath of relief. “Of course I know who that is. He’s my doctor.. right?” The doctor looked at Sam and then back at Quinn, telling him to step out for a moment.
An hour later, the doctor ended up telling Sam the bad news. She couldn’t remember the last eight years it seemed, Quinn still thinking she was in high school and that she was still dating Finn, in Sophomore year. She didn’t even know she was married to Sam or that she was out of high school, that she graduated from Yale. She couldn’t remember any of it.
It made it extremely awkward when Sam took her home later that night, Quinn treating him like a complete stranger. She was told Sam was her husband, what year it was and what exactly had happened, but she couldn’t remember any of it and she felt so uncomfortable around him. Even more so when she walked around their apartment, seeing pictures of them together, but she couldn’t remember any of it. “I.. uh.. guess I should go to bed. Where’s my room?” Granted, it was only a one bedroom apartment.
