Quinn honestly couldn't be happier to be moving the summer after junior year. She wanted to get away from all her problems, all her old 'friends', away from her exes and just try and move on. With her parents getting back together, it just made her life that much worse and she ended up rebelling. Her way of rebelling was going from the innocent ( Read more... )

"Alright," she gave him a faint smile and put the cigarette out on the bottom of her boot and grabbed the rest of the weed before she was leaving the basement and going upstairs. She went to her bedroom and peeked in on her parents before she did, who seemed to finally be asleep. Going to her room she stripped out of her outfit and went to a drawer, getting her old Cheerio uniform out. Ugh. She hated the way she looked in it now, but she knew Puck would love it. She brushed her hair out and it was still long enough to get into a small ponytail, which she did. She wiped off her darker make-up to where she was only wearing lip gloss and she was done just in time before she heard Puck's truck pulling up outside. She jogged down the stairs and opened the front door to see a smirking Puck standing there and she really wanted to smack that smirk off his face.

She told him to follow her though and with her wearing the uniform he followed her like a puppy, but of course, he asked why they were going to the basement. And she just said so her parents didn't hear them. Which excited him even more. Going down into the basement, Puck commented how creepy it looked and Quinn just shrugged, saying it wasn't all that bad. That she kind of liked it. To leave him alone, she said she forgot something and she'd be right back, but before she left to go back upstairs, she made sure to turn the light on that Tate told her to. Leaving Puck in the basement by himself.

As the lights began to flicker on Tate came into Puck's line of view. Except he wasn't showing himself like he had to Quinn. There was a smirk on his lips and he rocked back and forth in the rocking chair.

He heard Puck mumbled something, but before the other boy could leave things started to happen. Tate began to twitch violently in the chair, shaking his head, making the chair rock even more than before. The deformed baby that had been pieced together by the first occupant of the house leapt from the shadows and jumped onto Puck's back forcing him to stay in the room. Tate laughed in an evil manner and during the flickering he slipped out of the chair and gripped a very scared Noah Puckerman by the throat. "You hurt, Quinn. You shouldn't of done that." he said sternly before using all of his strength to throw Puck to the ground. Then he just stood back and watched as Puck cowered in fear as the other ghosts began to become visible, moaning about how they died. As one of the ghosts raked their nails down Puck's back he yelped in fright and scrambled to his feet.

Tate tried to block Puck from leaving, but he ended up getting a kick to the balls and doubling over. He didn't mind the pain, seeing as he'd achieved his goal. Puck would be scarred for life and that would be worse than death. Running a hand over his face he chuckled to himself as Puck ran off and the other ghosts disappeared.

Quinn was waiting outside the closed basement door, not too close to it, but she heard the yelp and her eyebrows shot up. She wasn't sure if that was Puck or Tate, but it was soon obvious that it had to be Puck who swung the basement door open and only stayed long enough to tell Quinn she was a freak, her house was messed up and whoever her friends were in the basement that were freaks too. And then he ran out of her house, scared out of his mind. Quinn tried to not laugh when he left, but she had to a little bit. Tate seriously scared him. He scared the big, bad Noah Puckerman. She smirked and started down the basement stairs, still in her cheerleading uniform. "Tate?"

"Yeah?" he replied as he propped himself up on the floor, grinning from ear to ear.

She laughed a little bit when she saw him. "I don't know what you did, but you seriously scared the crap out of him. I at least know he'll never try and see me again, definite plus," she smirked and moved over to him. "That was really awesome and sweet of you. I definitely owe you."

"He was a bad person. He hurt you." he said as he got up. Tate didn't want anything he return, the sense of accomplishment he'd gotten from scaring Puck was enough.

"Still, I really appreciate it. How about.. I make you dinner some night? I kind of had to learn to cook on my own," and he kind of got bonus points for not checking her out in the outfit she was wearing.

He's noticed the outfit she's wearing, but it doesn't appeal to him. Tate prefers her when she's wearing her grunge styled clothes.

Considering her offer he isn't sure what to say. Being a ghost he doesn't have to eat. "Um, Mac and cheese?"

Which she'll definitely be changing into once she was out of the basement and she'd want that to be soon. "Alright, mac and cheese. I can make it homemade too, which really tastes a lot better," she glanced down at her outfit and made a face. "Hey, mind taking this whole conversation up to my room so I can change out of this? I haven't worn it in almost a year and really want to get out of it. I checked and my parents are sleeping."

Tate nodded then he brushed himself down and started to follow her out of the basement of horrors.

She, of course, assumed he'd never really been in the house besides tonight. So she felt she had to lead him upstairs and to her room, where the clothes she had been wearing before were laid on her bed. A long skirt and a ripped shirt - that came that way - that showed some of her stomach and the sleeves were rolled up. When they were in her room, she closed the door behind them and locked it, just in case. "Think you can turn around while I change?"

"I think I can manage that."

Tate smiled wryly then he turned his back so he was facing towards the door. His crotch was still hurting from where Puck had gotten in a cheap shot, so he dropped his hands to adjust his pants for a moment.

She waited until he turned around before she stripped down to her panties and threw the uniform somewhere in the room. She got her skirt on and then her shirt, taking her hair down and ruffling it up a little bit. "Alright, you can turn around," she laid down onto her bed on her side. "Hey, are you okay? I heard a yell and I wasn't sure if that was you or him."

"It wasn't me." he replied as he spun around, stuffing his hands into the pockets of his pants. "We did good today."

She chuckled softly and rolled onto her back to look at the ceiling. "Yeah, guess we did," she then glanced over at Tate. "Since I need to get into bed soon, think you can come over tomorrow and we can hang out?"

"Yeah. I could do that." he nodded, giving her a genuine smile. For the first time in a while Tate felt content and it was nice that he'd made himself a friend, despite the very fucked up situation.
