Being nineteen and barely just out of high school, only a year passing by, Quinn really didn't feel much older. She was still living at home and was planning on going to college next year. She wanted to take a break and just focus on herself and friends, not anything about education. There was enough time for that. But the one person she was usually hanging out with was her best friend, the person she'd known since she was five, the person who knew her when she was Lucy and still wanted to be her friend, even knew most of her deep secrets, things none of her other friends ever knew and definitely not her parents. Her best friend was also her neighbor and that best friend was Sam Evans. They had been friends since Sam's family moved in next door when they were both kids and they instantly loved being around each other. Before Quinn had lost the weight and changed her name and became a cheerleader in high school, Sam always tried to protect her, he was like her bodyguard. She admired him for that and always would, even if most of the bullying like that had stopped once in high school.
At the moment though, Quinn was laying on her bed and glanced out of the corner of her eye, seeing Sam's bedroom light came on. He probably had a date - while she sat home alone. Again. Jealous? Of course not -, but when she seen he was alone - more than likely because his parents and siblings were home - she got her flashlight and notepad. On the notepad she wrote in big letters - since he was dyslexic and Quinn always tried to help him with that - HOW WAS THE DATE? Turning her flashlight on she shined it in his window, blinking it a few times to get his attention, which happened to be their way of always getting the others attention.
