It is officially too early, and Sagramore staggers to the door bleary-eyed and wearing only his trousers, and opens it to peer out at Hadley-Bright. "I beg your pardon?"

[hadley_bright]

Hadley-Bright looks flustered. 'Oh! I. Um,' says he.

He laughs. "Well, would you like to come in for a moment, and I'll put some clothes on?"

[hadley_bright]

'I'm very sorry,' he says as he comes in. 'I should have thought--'

[le_desirous]

"No, absolutely I don't mind. I'm not an early riser, I'm afraid."

[hadley_bright]

'Nor am I, usually.'

[le_desirous]

"But you made an exception to-day? --Are you an early drinker?"

[hadley_bright]

'I've no idea what it is. I simply found myself awake.' At the second, he laughs. 'I beg your pardon?'

[le_desirous]

"Naturally. --As long as you're here. I have coffee."

[hadley_bright]

'I'll go, if you'd like. I'm very sorry that I woke you.'

[le_desirous]

"No, no, there's no harm in it." He rubs his eyes and rakes his fingers through his hair.

[hadley_bright]

'Very well, then. Might I sit?'

[le_desirous]

"Do, please."

[hadley_bright]

'Thank you,' he says, laughing for no reason at all as he does just that.

[le_desirous]

"I will get you something to drink, if you'd like?"

[hadley_bright]

'I should feel rather awful asking you to play the host after I've so rudely woken you!
