A Billgrimage

As a Bill Murray fan, there are many strict rules I need to follow.  5 times a day I have to stop whatever I'm doing, face Wilmette, IL (his hometown), and quote a line from "The Life Aquatic".  For a month of every year I have to fast and the only thing I can drink is Suntory Whisky.  I have to live February 2 over at least 5 times in a row (this ( Read more... )

I'm sure Zachary told you our Uncle and cousins lived in Wilmette until just recently when he retired. In 4th grade I did an on location video report on the town for my Illinois report.

I was in Woodstock, IL on Monday, where they filmed the beginning of Groundhogs Day. It's so quaint!

I love Wilmette! So many Thanksgivings spent there!

Is it special because it's a beautiful/unique/whatever town, or because you have so many memories there?

Loyola Academy is of course, a *formerly* all-boys school...but that's okay.

My aunt is a Spanish teacher there, and my cousin was a student...back in high school I traipsed the halls and looked at Murray's graduating class photo, with Chris O'Donnell's a few more feet worth of wall space away.
