.
Okay. This is getting to be a little too much to handle.
I know some of you are aware of how bad the summer/fall was with my mom dying... and then it continued at work, but I sat here this morning at home, with yet ANOTHER piece of bad news.
This has been my summer:
July 14 - mom dies
One week later - sister-in-law's mother dies (I was close to her as well, for over 25 years)
October 10 - my dear friend and coworker (I have supervised her for 10 years), from leaving work on Wednesday, to Thursday, suffered 31 strokes, three of them massive, from undiagnosed, untreated hypertension. She was just moved from the hospital yesterday to a nursing home where she will probably spend the rest of her life. She is paralyzed on the right side, can't talk, can barely feed herself, and only is cognizant about half of the time. We were all shattered at work when this happened, because we are practically family there. It is an incredible group of people to work with.
Okay... and remember, all of this is happening in my department....
Two weeks ago, another coworker had her brother die.
This week, yet another coworker had his father die.
Yesterday, my supervisor's mother died.
This morning, I received an email from our Chief Financial Officer that yet another coworker, a lovely woman, had been diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer.
Isn't this enough? I mean.... really.
I'm just numb.
