4/4 - The Haunted, Dark Tranquility, Into Eternity, Scar Symmetry - Was a decent show. Got to meet most of the guys from Into Eternity that night. Metro pissed me off because they started early.
4/9 - Type O Negative, Celtic Frost, Brand New Sin - Metro started early again. Missed most of Brand New Sin. Celtic Frost was unimpressive - I had higher hopes for them. Peter Steele seemed all sorts of wasted and fell on stage. Wasn't exactly what I had expected, but I'm glad I finally got to see them
4/22 - Deadstar Assembly, Marazene - It was a long day, but I had a great time. Got to the place around 4:30pm and didn't get home until around 2am (I had to be to work at 8, otherwise I would have been out later). Met a lot of cool people, got hammered, and rocked out. Can't ask for much more. Saw a band called Cynergy 67 that impressed the hell out of me. Marazene was more like Snorazene. Deadstar was fun. They put on a good show. Hung out with Dro and some people afterwards. I wish I had more time to hang out. Next time I'll be sure to have the next day off of work.
4/25 - VNV Nation - I almost wish I hadn't seen them live. The singer ruined the show for me because he whined about someone taking his picture a couple of times in the middle of some songs. It was unprofessional and annoying, and completely ruined my mood. Not to mention it was the worst back pain I've ever had at a show. There was a german group called And One that opened that were really good though.
5/2 - Dimmu Borgir, Devil Driver, Unearth, Kataklysm - Kataklysm was by far the best received opening band I've ever seen. They tore it up and were really good. DevilDriver was fun. Unearth bore me. Dimmu were good and sounded great, but I felt like something was missing.
Next up:
Heaven and Hell/Megadeth/Machine Head on saturday. ***I HAVE AN EXTRA TICKET IF ANYONE WANTS TO GO***
